This past weekend,here our two things I watched that I NEVER see the Bears do:

#1 The Steelers were protecting their own goal from 10 yards out. They replayed it and it shows not one Pittsburgh defender had his back to the QB after the snap. All defenders were watching the QB.
The Bears have guys with their backs turned all day on a short field. I don't get it and I guess neither does Mel Tucker,because it involves COACHING.


#2 Last night,The Redskins either threatened or did the MAX Blitz on Romo and knocked the shit out of him. Rob Ryan figures,he's going to burn you anyway,so hit him hard and hit him often! Looks like it worked. Wonder if the Bears watched that game.

In regards to the Steelers,I admired the way they played goaline pass defense,nothing more. I don't get how Kyle Fuller was turned around on 3rd and short at the Bears goaline. I thought it was a ticky-tack call of PI but he should be facing the QB.

How many defenses employ the 10 yard radius Donut Defense over the middle where no defenders are allowed between the lines and the secondary?

This was going on when Lovie was coach,too. They had Urlacher backing off 15-20 yards down field and the midlle always seemed wide open. The teams playing the Bears always seem to have players in the area somewhere. Bennett & Forte seem to find open seams.

Tuckers passive play it safe non-aggressive no attack defense just drives me crazy. The players must hate playing this style of defense.

I understand that...but I hate passive play it safe defense. For God sakes, pressure the QB one way or another. I love what Haslett did last night.
