WTF is that stat? Fine the Bears blow and the record is the record but Jay is statistically better. Do not distort.

Just because you have not heard of a stat does not mean it's distorting facts to cite that stat.

You will limit your stats to the ones others deem appropriate!

Even though Cutler's career stats leave a lot to be desired, even those don't tell the story. Watch him play. Watch how the offense functions. It's all you need to see. He's not good.

Science boy  I wasn't arguing he was good this year. I simply pointed out that by most stats he is better than last year. I will go by team record.

I'm pretty sure the NFL as a collective has gotten better every year when it comes to passing stats. When compared to his peers, Cutler isn't any better than he has been previously.

Has he always been top 7?

He has never been top 10 even and still is not.

If we're going by career winning percentage, Mark Sanchez is a better quarterback than Jay Cutler.

Cutler is in the top 10 of nearly every important QB stat despite playing the toughest schedule in football, dealing with injuries to key players and having an idiot calling plays. He's really overcome a lot of obstacles.

He has not played the toughest schedule in football. Stop making stuff up.

I forgot to add "one of". How tough has the Bears schedule been? The Packers choking didn't help.

FO says the Bears have played the 16th-toughest schedule so far.

Not sure. Never really look SOS stuff up. I bet Dave knows.

Informally, lets look at it though..

Bills - mediocre
49ers - good, not great
Jets - Terrible
Green Bay - good, not great
Carolina - mediocre
Atlanta - bad
Miami - decent
Patriots - good/very good

Obviously not the most analytical approach here, but that looks to be a very average schedule. No need to shed crocodile tears for Cutler over that fearsome gauntlet.

Is this based on record or some other formula?

I believe the vaunted Bears D limited the Pack to two field goals in the second half. As Trestman would say, that's something to like going into next week.
