The thing is I couldn't find any articles about it. Normally, when a coach is hired, it's included.

I'm surprised many of the first time Head Coaches are making that much. Plus...the bottom is $3million? Yikes. Am I wrong in thinking MLB has a much larger swing in their pay of managers?

I've already heard Bernstein say the Bears wouldn't eat the money on Trestman's contract. Didn't they do that on Lovie's deal, which was more money? I don't think they are going to fire Trestman if they finish 7-9, but I don't think money would be the reason.

I think it's like other professional positions. Yes it's his first time as a HC in the NFL, but he was a HC in Canada and probably was given a salary commensurate with his Canada and NFL experience. He's not a youngish former coordinator accepting his first job as coach. Dude's got experience.

IIRC Lovie was making $1.5M as a first time head coach.
