i just want to see derrick rose. why does it feel like im not watching derrick rose. why does it seem like if i keep watching i might see derrick rose play. what if derrick rose is a fragile guy. maybe there ws a reason they just so happened to make the lamp that fell off the table and broke the shape of a leg. if you played a drinking game to take a shot every time derrick rose didnt play would it be considered suicide? what if we paid derrick rose too much money and he doesnt care. what if tickets didnt cost enough to offset the salaries the shoe companies can pay? why dont shoe companies just buy david sterns replacement. i wonder if i can get car insurance from pow gasol and put it in derrick roses name

Yes. He's frustrating me with his effort. Shooting 49% from 2 feet away is extremely frustrating. Not grabbing easy rebounds too. He had a really good first game and hasn't been good since.
Not true. He played well in the game against Minnesota. He had Twenty and they only gave him the ball twice in the last six min. He scored both times and it was the other players that almost cost them the game. Gasol is the only player on the Bulls roster with a ring unless Naz r has one I don't know. He was the second best player on two championships and came up big on two championships. The guy is not dogging it now and it's obvious that he can still play. For 7 mil. A yr he is going to turn out to be one of the steals of the off season. You didn't want him it's obvious but don't let your bias cloud what's right in front of you. It will hurt you in terms of basketball cred.

His past really doesn't matter. He looked GREAT against the Knicks but he goes through stretches where it looks like he doesn't care. Maybe I'm being unfair because I'm comparing his effort and energy to Noah's and Taj's and he may not have that in him. His score and rebounding has been an issue. He had 6 rebounds against Minnesota after getting destroyed on the boards against Cleveland. He's shooting 47% for the season because he couldn't make a layup in 2 of the 4 games. That's frustrating to watch. If you can't make a layup it's probably best that you dunk the ball.

I will grant you that his effort isnt on the level of a Noah or Gibson but they're skill level is nowhere near his either. It has been absolutely painful to watch the Bulls offensive struggles the past two yrs. Think about this Nas. The bulls best two offensive options the past two yrs were picked up off the waiver wire (Robinson and Augustin). The game has veered more towards offense. One of the subtle adjustments that Popovich made was to place Diaw in the lineup. I believed had he played him the year before they would have won. You need guys that can make a play. The little engine that could approach that Thibs promotes will get you to the playoffs and that is it. Its not like its the distant past that we are talking about with Gasol either. He avg. 19 and 9 last yr. If the Bulls had him in the game against Cleveland I believe they win. To illustrate your hypocrisy Gibson grabbed four rebounds last night and he was murdered by Tristan Thompson who broke a record for off. rebounds with Gibson guarding him and there wasnt a peep about it. Gasol has carried teams during his career. He has a history of taking a team to the playoffs and also being the best player during a championship series. There isnt a player on the bulls that can say that.

I'm still shocked whenever I see Gasol move around the basket. Never seen a seven footer in a Bulls jersey that new how to shoot a layup.

Gibson was in foul trouble last night. I suggest that you read the Cleveland game thread instead of just saying things that you are clearly wrong about. I would also suggest that you watch the game again too. You may notice Gasol get destroyed on the glass too. I know what Gasol can do but missing layups as frequently as he has is frustrating to watch.

I've only watched bits and pieces. But dude has an offensive game when all else fails he can at least get a shot. He does look weak on D. Way better than Boozer.

Gasol had issues with not playing in crunch time for the Lakers, too. There must have been a reason for it.

D'Antoni was just an idiot. The Bulls at least have a good reason and options to bench him at times in the 4th.

Derrick, "I am sitting out tonight because Reggie saw me playing Xbox360 with Noah and I forgot to have him wipe the controller with sanitizer, so like um I woke up this morning and um sneezed a booger out my nose and it landed on Reggie. He was sleeping underneath me, we have bunk beds. I get to sleep on the top for realz. So, um yeah I need to visit the team doctor cuz um ah, Reggie said it was greenish-yellow and that could be an infection! I should be back in a week or two."

He will constantly get compared to Boozer. I think that is the problem. Boozer's problem was that he was undersized and far too perimeter oriented. I actually watch the games that is how i am able to assess that Gibson is not a starting four. I also wont make statements about how a 30 yr. old player is still developing. There is a rush to Boozerize Gasol and it happened before he ever played a game. The Bulls will struggle scoring with the guys that you want to be showcased. We have seen that movie already. Many times when the Bulls struggled to score during the past two yrs. it was with Taj Gibson and people like Hinrich finishing the game. Remember Boozer didnt play in the 4th. It was the pedestrian power forward that everyone seems to love so much. It happened against Cleveland and it almost cost them against Minnesota. Stacey King spent the better part of the 4th basically screaming that they had to get the ball to Gasol. What games are you watching?

Whenever you are dead wrong you attempt to mix debates. Let's stay focused. Was Gibson in foul trouble last night? Did Gasol also get killed on the glass against Cleveland and shoot 33% from the field? Did you take a look at the Cleveland thread? Was Taj given a pass?

You are saying that he played poorly against Minnesota when he didn't. Youre saying he played poorly against Minnesota because he had 6 rebounds. That's not a good barometer. It's the same stupid argument you used to say Kobe Bryant played well in game 7. He had 18 rebounds. The logic defies logic. Pau Gasol should have been the primary scoring threat against Minnesota he wasn't. These options that you referenced are the reason the Bulls struggle to score during 4th qts. Like King said that the reason he was brought here. There isn't a person alive that knows anything about basketball that would rather have the ball in Gibson's hands rather than Pau. I am not mixing anything. Boozer was referenced and that will be a persistent theme. You actually were quoted as saying you would rather have Boozer than Pau. Of course it was only hyperbole. You may have a low opinion of Booz but its apparent that you have a low opinion of Pau. Pau does look a step slow when attempting to retrieve rebounds. But his skill level is such that he can make a play for you when you need it. He is also the only person on the Bulls that can play with his back to the basket. He will require a double team depending on the matchup. There has never been a point during Taj career where he has required any type of double team. There are not mismatches when he is on the floor ever. That is what wins you playoff series. I didnt watch the entire game last night. I watched the second qt only. I will admit to box scoring that game.

Everything that you said is accurate accept Taj really wasnt taken to task. There was some agreement on Taj having a bad game but he was severely outplayed by Thompson on the glass. Thompson broke a record for offensive rebounds and he didnt even start. In addition was the questionable shot Taj took coming down the stretch.
