Jesus Christ Ike your Rose optimism was at an all time high like a week ago. Ye of little faith. Rose would play if we needed him but he's a considerate guy and knows these are easy wins anyway and doesn't want to embarrass the competition by stacking the team too much. he'll be around for the next Cavs game to drop 55 on LeBron and Co.

He has 2 sprained ankles. I'm happy we have depth but I wish we had someone else who could create a shot off the dribble when Rose is out. That's why missing out on Marshmelo hurts a little.

Rose is a thoughtful guy who learns from past mistakes. He knows every day he's out with ankle sprains are that many days less he can tear an ACL. It's comforting knowing we have a leader who's able to think outside the box like that and help this team in so many different ways.

I'm slightly intrigued by the theory being pushed that this is how they keep Thibs from abusing his minutes in (arguably) meaningless games.

I'd be more intrigued if I wasn't worried about Rose's legs pretending they're Dave Dravecky's arms ...

To be fair, Rose didn't sprain both ankles on the same play. He sprained one, came back in the game, and then sprained the other.

Messed one up on a Thursday, did not see a Doctor or take care of it, then a day later while limping around turned my other ankle. It was a mess.

He actually said he sprained both on the same play.

Trying to focus criticism on him so Pau doesn't hear about his soft play and Mirotic doesn't hear about his non NBA-readiness. Not sure there's ever been a better leader in the NBA than Rose. He's really doing everything this year besides playing.

Really? I could have sworn I read an article after Friday's game that they were sprained on different plays.

i knew there was a valid reason for thibs to be pissed. hes too smart to meddle over shit that doesnt matter

you can either play or you cant. if a player has a problem with their minutes, they dont have to play. someone with less talent that wants to play is better than your sorry ass out there mopin around.

I think this team is deep enough to overcome this and in some ways it's probably good. McDermott and Mirotic get more time on the court to get better.

Agreed. He has a better chance of winning and keeping everyone healthy when they give him a deep team.

I like how Rose plays when he's questionable and sits when he's probable.
