He quickly turned on Trestman and called the moves for Cutler and Marshall a dumping (giving up three high picks for Culter doesn't sound like Denver was dumping him off...).
How long until he dumps on Theo?

it's going to be the opposite of his Bears stuff. He leaves Ted Philips alone. In this case it will be ownership.

they're skirting so close to going back on their "don't need a big name coach" stuff from Jan 2013.

"When your coach is an intellect, your team should be smart." There it is. Trestman and the Bears have failed at being Smart.

Dan wants a "heavyweight" as head coach now. Sounds like code for Ditkaesque.

I thought they mocked people who wanted Bill Parcells or someone like Parcells.

From what I've heard and understood, basically much of what they have said over the Cutler reign is now bullshit. Their silence on Marshall never existed. Phil Emery is now completely inept and lacking in too many areas to quantify. And Marc Trestman is anything but a football coach and needs to be replaced. To top it all off, Dan has his infallible über-sources who (must never be verified or validated) tell him that things could change. All of this with the usual pass to team ownership (they're the one's who give out the free passes, so quid pro quo).

Their brand of meatballery is so disingenuous that it is ridiculous. Any and everybody who questioned them in the past were idiots (Bears Mondays) but now they've seen the light and they know and understand better than anyone what is wrong. Solutions? No. But the golden era of GMs has come to an abrupt halt apparently while nobody was watching except for them. Watch for them to start talking over the press conferences soon, as that will be their only outlet.

Dan will turn on Maddon first just because it will be the easier choice.

bernstein knows he said it. Terry has no idea what he's saying, "Yeah, yeah, that sounds about right" to.

well, Terry says he didn't think they said it. Which if you listen to the call I purposely didn't even attribute it to a particular show. Dan says he can't even remember what he said a year ago.

Which is fine by me if they want to play the show that way. Just stop being serious expert radio again.

Good effort.

The sad realization is that we pay more attention to the Boers and Bernstein show than Boers or Bernstein do.

I don't know who that is worse for. Probably us.

Never .......when Dan goes gaga over someone like this he never says he wrong. Look at him with Adam Dunn...he was still defending this big lob of shit this year. Who happens to be when of the worst players in recent memory.

I think Theo's got a lot of rope with Dan because of the whole REALLY. SMART. PEOPLE. thing and if you ever saw rowan Atkinson's "welcome to hell" sketch they both happen to be "right" when it cones to the issue of unanswerable questions.

Btw the score's jay zawaski reported some hawks injury news? Is this a first for him, or has he been padding his resume with "station hockey insider/expert/reporter" to make up for the extra pay his lofty new gig/title isn't getting him?

Jesus Christ... Is this breath-y TLDR caller dude always the first call for hub every week? Do you think he calls up at 420-430 to make sure he gets his time with hub? Its gotta be something like that cuz the HUB ALS is very very real, my friends.

Since when does he write 4 the sun tines? I thought he shitcanned PFW to do Chicago football.com and never heard of any sun times crap til today's intro...

If you haven't noticed Dan really hyping his theory that the best team doesn't win the World Series...so If Theo never does...YOU IDIOTS IT NOT THE BEST TEAM THAT WINS IT...so his butt is covered

I heard your call. I'm as sure dan knew he said it as I am that he's a Cub fan. He tried to play it off like he didn't remember saying it. He knew.

By definition, the best team wins the World Series. His argument should be "the goals of the regular season are not congruent with winning a title." He would be correct in that assessment. But the goal is to win the World Series, and the team that does it is unquestionably "the best."

From the 1/2/13 thread in B&B tittled "Lovieless" http://www.score670.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=75994

FavreFan wrote:
What the fuck is Bernstein talking about. This is a "golden age" for Chicago GMs?

Emery is completely unproven.
Theo with the Cubs has not done anything to warrant the comment either yet.
Rich Hahn is completely unproven.
I've defended GarPax consistently, and they are probably the best in this group as of right now, but most people dont have as favorable an opinion on them as I do.

Give a shoutout to the search function (Biggie) and the first mention (FF). That's how you use sources, Dan.
