I was talking to my brother in law a while ago about fat NBA players. Remember Stanley Roberts?

Fat Guys in the NBA:

Stanley Roberts
Oliver Miller
Chuck Barkley
Glen Davis (soon to be NBA'er)

The Duck is a big man now. When he played, he was a bigger guy, but not fat. I mean if he was fat, we should be calling Shaq fat too.

I recall Stacey "Burger" King wasn't exactly svelte

Maybe not approaching lard ass territory, but still

Great one.

I always thought if he could have been a great player had he not been so out of shape...could only play like 15 minutes a game

How can we forget the crown jewel of post play for the Bulls, Michael Sweetney?

Shipped off to the Wolves (?) for Ricky Davis & Mark Blount.

I don't really understand this trade for the Wolves. I guess they're moving one cancer for another who has 1 less year on his deal, but still.

Yes, Ricky Davis is a cancer but I'd rather have a cancer who can still show signs of playing good ball than a fat tub of goo who can't move.

Exactly. Plus i think Blount would have worked nice with Jefferson playing down low- he has no post game and shoots jumpers from the top of the key. So now they have all young players. And Antoine Walker and Juwan Howard.

Ricky Davis is signed through the end of this season at just under 6M per. Blount is signed through 2010 at 6.4 M per

Walker is signed for 9 a year through 2011. Doleac and Simien are wastes of space. Both are cheap (~4M between the two) and Simien has a team option for 09 and Doleac is a FA after this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them let go before the season.

I don't get this trade for Minny.

I wouldn't have abused "the shimmy" if the Boise comment didn't appear.
