That's like saying stepping on a solid dog turd is better than stepping in dog diarrhea. Cutler hasn't done shit for this team and is declining rapidly. He tunes coaches out and has no fucking regard for this team.

He is just one more cherry on top of the embarrassment sundae that is the Chicago Bears.

He wants to win but he's tired of being around incompetent coaches.

He picked Tresman. No more excuses NAS, this guy is not a winner and probably never will be. Do you honestly think Cutler can lead a team to the SuperBowl, when he can't even lead them into a game against the Packers during the REGULAR season? He may have talent, but his mind is weak. I blame the blood sugar levels.

 @ protecting Cutler's trade value. He's gotta be one of the least valuable guys in the league right now with contracts considered.

Then he should not have signed the new contract with the Bears.

Very few people that knew they where not worth that kind of money, would turn down a contract like that.

I'd trade him to AZ for a 2024 7th rounder and throw in Virginia's fur coat collection.

Its $54 million, and why not? If the guys sucks you bench him. Its no different than a big $ starting pitcher who goes to the bullpen because he sucks.

It's a lot different. You can't just spend over a mistake when you have a salary cap. And a starting pitcher is only affecting you in 1/5 of the games.

In this already "lost" season, they should let Cutler go apeshit. Downfield, triple coverage or whatever, because the three and outs net the same results as a pick-six as of late. There's at least the chance that Jeffery or Marshall will make a play like they did last year and score/get substantial yardage.

It couldn't be any worse than watching that asshat "manage" the offense...

JORR is correct...they will not bench him. especially since they don't have any type of high draft pick holding the clipboard.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... th-cutler/
Cut by March 2015 and they've only thrown away $38 million out of the $54million.

exactly. Cutler has one strength, which is arm strength. He's too dumb to make any kind of plays on his own. Just let him heave it deep and run the ball a bunch.

The Top 10 Quarterback Teases of All-Time is on the NFL Network right now.

[Edit] How Cutler did not make this list is a JFKesque conspiracy.

10. Mark Sanchez
9. Vince Ferragamo
8. Bobby Hoying
7. Andy Dalton (flat out better than Jay)
6. Tim Tebow
5. Richard Todd
4. Jeff George (also better)
3. Vince Young
2. Elvis Grbac (better)
1. Scott Mitchell

Yes Rogue, I believe the head coach is majorly responsible for that shit show that is going on down in Chicago right now.

At what point are the players to blame? They've scored 7 first half points the last 3 games. The fucking 85 bears defense would have a hard time winning those 3 games with that offensive production.

The players share some of the blame but the offensive guru is very predictable calling plays. So predictable that stupid fans like myself pretty much know what play is coming next. You know what that means? The other teams also know what play is coming next and many times they are standing right next to the man that is about to receive the ball. It's beyond frustrating knowing that you will need a 20 play 90 yard drive in order to score a touchdown. Once the league took away his deep option with Cover 3 he hasn't been able to adjust. He also keeps stubbornly calling the same plays. He is a failure as a offensive coordinator. He's a failure as a leader. He's a failure as a head coach.

He must interview well. In fairness to him the offense was great last year and at the start of this season even with injuries. Once the league figured him out he hasn't been able to adjust. He stubbornly calls the same predictable plays. That has to be frustrating as a player.

Spany, did Ditka's ( or Wanny's, or Lovie's, or Jauron's) team ever give up 50+ points in back to back games? Did any of those coaches kick a FG on 2nd down in overtime? Did any of those coaches over see an offense, defense, and/or special teams that looks so clueless week after week?

Any player/coach can have a bad game. Trestman has had a historically bad season. I think its pretty clear that more than just a small problem with the Bears.

His failures cost the Bears a playoff spot last year. That Green Bay game should have been meaningless.

I believe he'll be making less than $15M next season. Many teams will find a contract like that valuable.

How many NFL teams would be interested in Jay Cutler as their starting QB? Probably none of them.

Houston, Buffalo, Jets....maybe a trade to Cincy for Dalton since his contract is just as bad as Cutlers.

Despite the Jets QB woes, & to a lesser degree Houston & Buffalo's, why would they want Jays contract, bad leadership, & poor performance? I believe that Houston with Fitz & Buffalo with Orton are better off than they would be with Jay.
How about Tampa Bay? A Lovie & Jay reunion of sorts. Those two douchebags deserve each other.

there's always a coach who thinks he can mold a player if he thinks the player needs a change of scenery. houston would definitely take him...but they'd want some key draft picks because of the contract.

I've seen two people maybe three that think Jay is fine. I'm almost sure one of the people saying this is doing an elaborate troll job. That's kind of his thing though so IDK.

Anyways 99.9 % think it's time to look elsewhere for a qb as Jay is just going to continue to suck ass and not be worth his horrible contract. He wasn't worth $11 million last year either. Time to move on.

I don't think we are giving Phil Emery enough credit for getting rid of McCown. Think of the groundswell of support there would be to bench Cutler right now if McCown was still on he team.

The Dalton contract is significantly better than Cutlers and Dalton is younger too so there is a better chance he improves.

When his coaches are responsible for him actually throwing to double covered receivers off his back foot I'll blame them .
