not really true because hes saying this now, not before the 90 mil. remember when that happened? he looked at his mom and said "we made it". the money was always what mattered most. he had to act like playing was his dream to get that contract. now that he got his first paycheck hes retiring. he is a crook.
even greater than the Bulls contract is the Adidas deal. I wonder how much that is factoring into this. I never begrudge athletes the money that they make but you were always taught that if you can play you play. As an athlete you're always going to have aches and pains. It just doesn't appear to be that way for him and it's truly unfortunate for the Bulls team when they have had guys truly laying it on the line the last two yrs and he chooses to sit at seemingly every opportunity.

im sure he does think of adidas as more important than the bulls. money is money. but like going by what was said, he wouldnt even have adidas money without basketball.

the fact is MOST nba players cant stand to sit on the bench. it bothers the hell out of them, even if they have hundreds of millions of dollars. if kobe bryant said the things derrick is saying we would all think kobe came down with a mental diminishing virus or something.

What was telling was the statement of the TNT guys each one of them have injuries that will alter their posture for the rest of their lives and each one said they would not change a thing.

Rose said its "cramps" in his hamstring after "overstepping" and calls injury "minor."

I love Derrick Rose. This has to be an elaborate performance art act. He's going to play in 75 games and leave with a minor tweak injury in 65 of them and then lead us to a title putting Paul Pierce's wheel chair act to shame.

I believe that Vegas should establish a betting line on the odds of Rose having a Willis Reed moment. Bet they'd get a lot of action on that.

the announcers tonight were hilarious tonight too. and they did not understand how rose could sit out with this close game on the line. he obviously didnt break or tear anything.

Moving away from the Rose stuff, this was a really exciting game to watch -- well, at least the fourth quarter that I watched. I had no idea that the ACC could get so pumped up. The atmosphere there for a regular-season Maple Leafs game is about as electric as an Anglican Mass. It's probably because to buy Leafs tickets, you also have to buy Raptors tickets, but then you don't give a shit about them so you just pawn them off on people who do and they're all like "holy shit, free tickets!" and they don't worry about sitting politely.

Joakim Noah just issued a passionate, profanity-laced defense of Derrick Rose. Will Tweet highlights.

If long time guy brings up an old debate topic in another thread (with the same wrong and bad thoughts) I am going to go completely crazy. Bump the old thread if you want to relive that debate.

If it were not relevant I wouldn't mention it. It touches nerves because it is relevant. I merely alluded to it I didn't harp on it. Again excluding Anthony and going forward how many other star players are going to choose not to play with Derrick Rose?

exactly. no matter what he really thinks of rose, he will never admit anything short of complete support because he knows they need that talent to win. but we all know what hes really thinking. you cant have a guy like joakim and then sit there and say "oh, im sure hes fine with a guy who doesnt fucking care"

The team was 7-1, and are actually pretty good. It's probably the best roster they have put together in the 20 year history of the franchise.
