The point is being good at offense and defense is not mutually exclusive. You can and should excel at both. The Bulls not being good at offense under Thibs has nothing to do with his reputation. I'm not advocating that they become all offense no defense. That was last yrs Houston team. You have to guard the Spurs are not a lockdown defensive team. They have guys that can make shots and are diverse offensively. Dallas was similar. They were not a lockdown team either. I will ask the question again which playoff teams from the west are defensive minded other than Memphis?

Milwaukee and Indiana are currently ranked 3rd and 4th statistically in terms of defense. They won't make the playoffs. Of the top 15 teams in terms of Defense 5 won't make the playoffs. Indiana's collapse was due to the fact that they couldn't score. Paxson attempted to address this in the off season. He acquired offensive players but will Thibs play them as the season progresses?

Memphis just like the Bulls and Spurs are usually good defensively. Those teams aren't.

Why do you make stuff up? I never said he was a go to guy. I said he's a guy that can create his own shot and he plays defense. Going forward a guy who just turned 24 (in September )will be a better option than Gasol. I don't expect him to continue averaging 10 rebounds or shooting 30%. Are you actually reading the board? I've praised Gasol a lot. I believe I have even used the word great to describe him. You are extremely sensitive and you love to bring up old debates in every thread. Just bumped the old threads.

I made my feelings about Stephenson known during the summer and I simply waited to the season started to reiterate. You touted his abilities and he is not delivering. Gasol was and will be the better pickup. You claimed Stephenson is a future all star. There were only two teams interested during the off season Charlotte and Indiana and Charlotte can cut him loose after the 2nd yr. You are wrong as usual and you just make stuff up like we don't have the ability to fact check these things. One of my first thoughts when Gasol was signed is that I like him but he didn't fill a need in my opinion. Here are all the threads about Stephenson. Look through them and show me where I called him a go to player or any of the other nonsense you continue to post. I even noticed you were torn on "Stevenson". After you look through these threads please STFU with all your bullshit and stop acting like a little girl.

This may be surprising to you but fans criticize players when they don't play well and bash them when they don't. Besides we had this same debate last week and it was proven that you were wrong.
