yeah i'm kind of a bit too lazy to go and dig up the rolling thread on the guy, but recently when it was brought up and he was mentioned i ended up on his north2north1 youtube channel where he STILL TO THIS DAY uploads daily M-F videos with a "hot take" on an issue of the day (for the daily herald where he evidently has a column?) and of course your weekly meetup with the bookie priest cuz holy shit that "schtick" is so timeless its never gonna go away. literally.

so i started watching a bunch of his 1-2min daily "hot take" videos (lord knows someone's gotta get that counter up from 7-37 views per video, tho idk if youtube vids embedded on another page acount as a view) and i saw from a video either last week or the week b4 he was rocking the following shirt:

hell yeah! i first heard of the site long after it was gone when dontfademe.com led directly to this site.... and bigfan evidently didnt wanna keep shelling out the ~20+/year to keep the dontfademe.com DNS pointing here, but whoever went out and bought it decided to have a little fun with it cuz look and see where dontfademe.com takes you nowadays. suitably hilarious.

but for mike north sticking to his guns and never giving up on a laughable idea even years after it's formally dead and still rocking a new copy of the shirt that would make anyone the toast of a CSFMB meetup (even more impressive than nas' shoes at any given CSFMB meetup) i formally shout out mike "pappy" north because no matter what we (don't) do say or think, you gotta give the guy credit that he sticks to his schtick and never gives up on it no matter how everything turned out because in the end: good? bad? he's the guy who made caucasian man and you didn't!

I still have a ton of Webio swag. Hat, t-shirt, key chain, mouse pad, etc. I save them for special occasions.

I'm still waiting for someone from here to stop me randomly and ask where I got that CS Webio hat.

I remember at either the first or second bowling outing, Fred Huebner brought Webio swag to give away as prizes. It was right after everything had collapsed.

We should do another bowling outing. I've missed the last few, I think.

I would cherish a Dontfademe shirt. North probably reads the board. He should print some of those babies up.

I listen to Dahl and Brandmeier, I would listen to North. Hell I would listen to Wally Phillips if they played old tapes of him.

Yeah, maybe he could get the guy with the news stand on Oliphant to sell them.

After the holidays, I will try to put something together.

I'd be more impressed if you had in your possession, Tom Shaer's 24 second shot clock.
