What a shame.

Just makes you appreciate that much more warriors like Walter Payton & Michael Jordan.

This. And within this very game, other warriors such as Capt Kirk.

Rose's USA Basketball experience was supposed to prevent all this stop-and-go, out-and-in.

i actually believe this 100%. he looked like he was high out there tonight. he was the slowest guy on the court. and "just trying to be smart" is exactly the same thing as saying "i dont feel like it. yes, i meant what i said- i do not give a shit".

Upon further review, I would like to formally apologize for my recent reference to subcontracting with the WNBA, as that might be construed as less than respectful to the athletes and COMPETITORS within that organization.

Bottom line, as a fan I don't know everything that is going on with Rose, and his teammates have had his back to this point, but the silliness and bs about not feeling "right" and not being "totally 100%" would be getting extremely old for me if I was his teammate. I guarantee few if any of his teammates (the ones that are playing) feel completely right and 100% even at this early stage of the season, and many of the veterans probably haven't truly felt that way in years, nor will they.

There is always a physical price to be paid for playing the game over many years, regardless of what level you play at. There is also a physical price to be paid for getting older, whether one is an athlete or not. I believe most of us can and have figured this out all on our own through observation and personal experience, without a team of trainers, doctors, advisors, agents, and whoever else might be interpreting all of this for Rose. Which is a huge part of the problem. The other part is he needs to stop hiding behind all of these people and figure some things out for himself. Frankly it should be common knowledge and common sense. A shame that both are not all that common anymore, and not just with Rose.

It will be nice when adult discussions concerning Derrick Rose can take place without fans being offended because "He's Chicago, Dog!"

All Rose is now is a skipping stone. A few splash plays, a ripple, and it's gone.

I think several people have the password, as evidenced by the one about how Derrick Rose is sitting out because he has three kids and a mortgage.

is your name tywebb2112 because you're scheduled to hit your 100th post in the year 2112?

anyways thanks for the tips... i'm going to jot down "playing a professional sport for many years wears you down" right after i jot down "aging wears you down" in my "Wisdumb from the CSFMB" notebook.

cuntiness aside, it's like i said in teh butler thread: i really think that thibs/bulls/derrick "get it" in that they're going to inevitably make the playoffs and derrick is a fragile little special snowflake of an ikesouth non-sequitur, so even if he feels 98% they're going to sit him down and rest him to be extra extra cautious given his injury history over the last few years. does it really matter if the bulls go pedal to the metal from coast to coast in the regular season and end up the #2-3 seed as opposed to being the #4-5 seed? ultimately if contending for a championship is your ONE. GOAL. you're going to have to beat those $4+ seeds at some point, so dealing with a better team a round earlier than you thought might not be the end of the world, and if given a choice you'd rather play the #4/5 seed in round 1 as oppose to round 2 if the former means that you have derrick rose available for even 2.5 games of the series.
