Kind of hard to overlook about 10 years of being one of the best OLB in the league. He has managed
to make Bear fans do exactly that with his snarky personality. I thought these last few games he had a pulse but maybe I'm wrong. Doug Buffone came back after an Achilles injury and still played well enough into his final seasons. It looks like Briggs desire left him before his body did.

Tillman deserves it, Briggs doesn't it at this point. Tillman played 100% till the end.

He was a third round pick, not second like the CSN report said. And yes he was very good, but these last two years have been bad off the field wise. I can handle performance decline due to age but not effort and the BS restaurant stuff and whatever.

He absolutely stole this year. He fully intended to steal which is the part I find unacceptable.

The truth is that his entire career was benefitted by Urlacher's presence. Briggs was the little brother and deservedly so for many reasons.

I view him kind of like Pippen, a career second banana who took every opportunity he could to bitch about his situation. Both were still great. Neither was as great as each thought in his mind.

Pippen was better at his craft I think. You could make an argument that for the time MJ was gone, Pippen was the best player in the NBA. You could never even come close to saying that about Lance Briggs.

The Bears season ended the day he took off to open a restaurant.

Any remaining doubt about the level of professional respect that Trestman received from the players was put on display for all to see.

They should have kept Urlacher last year, and not Briggs.
