Does anyone have a pair? I saw a bunch of ads for them and was a bit taken aback by the
pricing. Even some of the earbuds are in excess of $100 with the actual headphones ramping
up as high as $300. I just have a cheap pair that I use at work, but wanted to see if the
sound and whatever features that could be offered on these things is even close to the money
being paid for them.

Every single review says they do not.

They are created to look cool sitting in Starbucks and airports.

This was my initial reaction without looking at any reviews. Kind of some type of status symbol
thing for hipsters. The markup on these must be incredible. I see how much marketing they
have been doing ramping up to the holidays.

After some hard living on the road, my Bose noise-cancelling headphones are now duct-taped together, making me look like an audiophilic Hanson brother. I think I'm going to invest in a nice pair of Sennheisers. I won't touch Beats.

Bose is better. If you're going to be sweating make sure that you get the right ones.

Bose is better, and actually cheaper. Sony also has a few decent options. Monster has some decent ones but very pricey also. JBL also has some good models from what I....hear....

Avoid Beats and Skullcandy. Especially if you like any other music besides rap or EDM.

I bought a pair about a year ago. IMO, they are well worth it. The sound quality is noticeably better compared to any set of cheapo headphones that you can buy for around $20. I don't know how they would compare to other higher end headphones on the market like Bose, but I'm sure the quality in sound is similar.

I bought the earbuds that run at $100 (can't remember the name of them). Also took the advice of a friend and got the extended warrarty at best buy. A couple weeks ago, the volume adjustment switch went out on mine, so I got a new pair, and my extended warranty extended for free for another two years. Just like any pair of headphones, earbuds will go out after lots of use, so I can probably just cash mine in for a new pair every 1-2 years.

Beats can sound good listening to rock, you just might need to adjust some of the sound settings on your device. I will agree that they can be pretty bass heavy, but that can be corrected.

all i need is those $20ish sony "studio monitor style" headphones and i'm good. they provide the default level of all-encompassing-headphones and at $20 they're priced to be disposable.

I don't think T Bone likes any music other than that.

I don't wear the cans in any sweating setting, just home listening, recording, and airplanes. For workouts, I just use cheap Sony earbuds that short out every couple months.

If you're looking for earbuds, Etymotic Research makes great stuff. Plus, they're a local company. Warranty support is outstanding.

I say this to any who commutes by train. Please for the love of Christ, buy a pair, any pair that doesn't let the sound bleed out so I have to hear your shitty music for an hour train ride. Thanks. Got to run, theres some kids playing on my lawn.

I would like to find a good pair of home head phones that can handle the power of loud rock. They do not seem to last very long before degrading.

The Sennheisers rock like no other.

We bought a pair of the beats bluetooth wireless earbuds for Scorehead junior for his birthday. They sound great.

No serious audiophile should ever buy any Beats product.

It's marketing, you idiots...

My younger son had a pair of Beats, he resold them on eBay. They were ok, more for the look than the sound. Not worth the investment to him.

I use the Skullcandy $10 cheapie ear buds for whilst mowing or other tractor work- they block engine noise well enough that I can hear the games and I get my money's worth without worrying about taking care of them along the way.

I caved.

Beats were the one thing that my daughter specifically asked for. I'm a pushover. But I did get them almost half off.

I own the first album acutally. It's not too bad. Their latest I wasn't impressed with.
