Anyone use it? Not looking to invest in any hardware, so not buying anything for backup that I need to plug in

May I ask why? External hard drives have gotten very cheap. I paid $90 for a 500GB external almost six years ago. I can now get twice the space (1TB) for half the price. I don't know what you're using it for, but unless you're dealing with, like, absurd amounts of data, you can probably get by backing up your stuff on an external and accessing pertinent stuff remotely from your Google Drive.

I keep my music collection on an external. The power-saving plan (suspends after 10 minutes idle) has really extended the life, but six years on an external still feels like borrowed time to me, so I'll be buying a new one after the holidays.

Have used it for two years and love it. Backups happen in the background so you never have to worry about connecting to an external HD and manually backing up. Also, you can access all of your files remotely from your phone which has come in handy on multiple occasions. It also has a tracking feature for lost and stolen devices that helped me track down my stolen tablet.

What are you backing up?

If it is just documents and pictures, then use Google Drive/Dropbox/OneDrive. You have a folder on your pc that syncs up to the server.

The thing is that most people don't actually need their PC backed up. They just want pictures and documents and music. You end up backing up a lot of things you don't ever need. 100GB for $1.99 a month from google is pretty good.

If you have amazon prime, they give you a ton of backup storage for free.

I'm using that and an external drive for all my pictures. Just had to spend over a week recovering 200K pictures from a dying external drive.
