I agree. And I don't know why he wants to take over Bigfan's board either. I thought he was one of the good ones.

Which is sad. We should want the best and brightest teaching our kids.

Quickest way to improve long term education would be spend more money improving PreK and Kindergarten programs.

You can rest well knowing that the future rests in the hands of Brittany, Cassidey and Taylor who all major in early education.

Why does Brouge have Q's old avatar?

I believe that he's taking a shot at Chus in his absence by using his old avatar.

 taking a shot ? I'm surprised at you . It's very clearly a tribute to the injustice of Crusader Rabbit's banning. #freewardcleaver

He's taking a shot at Bigfan. Such a disgrace.

BRogue has people twisted up in knots.

The Group Think Club had been smashed to pieces.

BRogue is twisting the knife.

If you started out making $100k+ you would love it.

Honestly, my decision to leave teaching was not all financial. I consciously looked ahead 20 years and couldn't vision doing the same thing that whole time. That was a bigger factor than money.

All things being equal, if i were starting out again out of h.s. I would go into teaching. From a lifestyle standpoint there would be few better jobs imo.

it's a great profession. I don't hold the sympathy many do for teacher salaries. it's an important job, but it is what it is. I ended up making considerably more money, but it's been at the expense of work / life balance and I won't retire as well as I would have teaching.

Increased funding would be great...but blah, blah, blah

One of the biggest problems with the public school system is that you have 7 volunteers, usually with an axe to grind or financial interest, running all of the finances, HR, discipline, and curriculum - or anything else that comes up. Sure, people under them are paid to make some decisions in those areas, but again, they are "under" the people that make the final call. What could possibly go wrong in that scenario?

Isn't that what most successful companies and corporations do? Allow the first 7 volunteers through the door to run the place? I would totally invest my money in a place that does that.
