Cutler is on the verge of a handful of single-season passing records, but that speaks to the franchise's historical mismanagement of the position and coach Marc Trestman's lopsided play-calling as much as anything else.

It also has to do with the way the game is played today. There are absolute fucking bums out there putting up better numbers than Johnny Unitas.

If I was Cutler at this point, I would call anything I wanted to and would shut off the headset and if it goes well, tell everyone I didnt listen to the coaches once. What does he have to lose at this point?

I had been thinking along those lines the last few weeks...I just wonder whether the Bears would have a way to terminate his contract if he blatantly defied the coach's play calls.

Who called the bad run plays that he didn't check out of?
What running plays?
I thought there weren't any running plays.
We're there less than the 8 called?

Yeah, I'm gonna stick with that assessment.

At this point, if the team plane did the ol' Marshall University trick, that might end up being the best way out of this mess.

I feel that's in poor taste.

Maybe they'd be lucky enough to get off the plane running.

There are still good players on the Bears ship but Captain Stubing looks more like a heavy drinker
not thinker like people thought when he first was hired as coach.

What bothered me about Cutler in his first year was throwing INT's didn't seem to bother him. His laissez faire attitude hasn't changed one bit.

So, there is seemingly no end to documented, objective problems with this team on and off the field, and you cling to this half-assed happy horseshit? Yikes .....

Forced tears per snapper. A forced, uncomfortable not 100% heartfelt apology.

Does this change the way we look at Cutler, Shea, Bostic and the rest of the young guys? Headcoach, Defense, Offense, Special Teams coaches all a bunch of clowns.

They need to clean house and start over. I see no other way the bears can fix this mess.

for a while it looked like Kromer was the only decent coach they had.

how'd he get "outed?"
shit like that happens all the time. who cares?

he should've stood up and said, "yeah I said it, so fucking what?" and dropped the mic

pussy

Eh ... I'm generally not 'sophisticated' enough to root against the local squad, at least not actively before a game starts (sure, during the 50-point fiascoes it became a desire to see them give up triple digits or something like that) ... hell, even when I went to White Sox games in days gone by I tended to at least politely cheer for the Sox.

If/when the Bears chat devolves into the 'fuck the Bears' mode, sure, probably then.

Really? Tuning in now ... at the end of M&H I heard Doug really ... and baby I mean REALLY ... go after the McClaskey's including invoking Jack Pardee who apparently told Doug that working for the Bears was "like pissing up a rope" ... Doug went on to say the Bears (organization) are 'losers'. It didn't come off like post-game hyperbole, it seemed to be emotional but sincere Doug.

I was thinking the same thing. Why not do this. The coaching staff is a fucking joke. How has Jay killed them with not checking out of running plays, when they only run the ball 12 times a game? Does not make any sense. It's like trying to argue baseball with Sox fans.

He would need the other players to follow him. I doubt it could be worse than what we have seen the past 8 games.

Wasnt Kromer the only guy Trestman was allowed to hire? It makes sense to me that Trestman would have confided in the only coach he can trust that tucker was going to get canned.... and very believeable this idiot kromer leaked it to rapsheet

I would love to be in the opposing coach's meeting room when they're getting ready to play this team. I'd imagine the first 20 minutes would be them cracking jokes about how embarrassing the Bears are, then they would spend the next 4 hours deliberating which of their myriad soft targets to exploit first.

I realize that Kromer spoke his mind, probably ill-advised, to a reporter but I don't understand some of the anger that is being directed towards Kromer. Who cares if some egos may have been bruised by what Kromer said? It seems like a distraction that is inadvertently taking some of the focus away from the Bears ownership and management for their responsibility in causing this failing team.

YAC would increase by 337% in the first season.
