Every team has a game like that. You are writing the Lions off for winning against a formidable offense team, despite missing half of their skill players on offense? I think it is impressive to win without guys like that in the lineup.

Everybody wrote off New England after they struggled against Oakland, and got pounded by KC. Since that point, which is no coincidence that Gronk got healthy, they have been on a roll.

They have 2010-2012 Falcons vibe. Obviously not quantifiable. They just seem ripe for an ass kicking once the playoffs come along.

As I long suffering Lions' fan, that is possible, maybe even likely. I just don't understand what they need to do to get a little credit. I think winning games without your best players is very impressive. They are going to need one or two home games in the playoffs.

The Bears have all of their players, yet they get skull fucked on a weekly basis.

I know I am being unfair. In the words of genius NFL analyst Tom Jackson, "It doesn't mean anything, it's just something" :D

The stupid and undisciplined Lions have made an appearance.

I'm feeling pretty good about the idea that the Packers are the best team in the NFC.

Detroit was the "crown their asses" team so far this year.

Lions gon Lion? Denver and Cincinnati got blown out in NE as well. They were in the AZ game until the final possession.

If they lose to the Bears, then they are the same old Lions.

I can't understand why they don't even try to throw the ball down field anymore. It's just the same boring dink and dunk plays over and over again. The OL not blocking, and the WRs dropping passes isn't helping anything.

Jim Caldwell is a dipshit. That might be a satisfactory explanation.

He is smarter than the last guy, but he just has a deer in the headlights look, a bit too much for my liking.

The Lions aren't nearly as undisciplined, as they have been in the past.

Agreed, they're much better under Caldwell. Boger jobbed them in AZ. If Stafford can ever be consistent (Cutler Jr.) they can make serious noise this year.

They're trying really hard to fuck themselves out of an opportunity to win this game against the hapless Bucs.

Well well well, GB loses in a stunner to Buffalo... and Detroit has a potential tomato can in 5 minutes.

Doesn't matter in the scheme of things. Pack vs Lions in the final game (in Lambeau) will decide the Division.

Meaningless side note: The Lions haven't won at Lambeau since 1991.

Stafford's great against bottom-feeders like Trestman's Bears and Lovie's Bucs. He's like 3-30 career vs teams that end the seaon with a winning record.

Lions have been helped this season by getting to play the atrocious NFC South, including getting the Saints in Detroit.

True. just happy to get +300 on the Vikes ML and a small hedge on the Vikings at +8 when the week 15 Vikings are clearly a much better team than the team the Lions beat in week 6, and probably among the top 3 teams the Lions have played this season.

and +10.5 /+375 for the 49ers coming off 2 straight losses was a nice bonus.

Wonder how much gas Stafford/Suh et al will have in the 4th quarter laboring under the flu bug.

Bridgewater throwing those quick screens is scary, Lions defense could easily cheat and pick 6 one of those.

fucking Norv Turner. Vikings have 3rd and long at midfield up 14-0 with about 5 mins to go in the half, have had success running the ball...call a safe run play, take another minute off the clock btw the run play and the punt, stick the Lions offense, which has done fuck-all in the game, deep in their own end with 4 mins to go in the half [BE A FUCKING NFL COACH,FFS. Play the odds, CLOCK and field position]....NOOO, gotta have the rookie QB try to be Tom Brady and hit a slow white guy on a crossing route--slow white guy trips over the 40 yd line, Bridgewater's pass sails, Lions intercept and basically set up an easy TD for Stafford-Tate.

Lions secondary is good, Vikings secondary might be better. Quit treating Stafford like he's Peyton Manning, let him have the ball. Stafford will throw picks with the best of em.

Doesn't matter at this point. The Packers and Lions play each other in week 17. The winner takes the division. The other may or may not get the wild card.

Said this team isnt that much better than the Bears without CJ and today showed it. They needed him in a final drive to beat this BAD viking team.

"Lions are showing all the killer instinct of a butterfly in putting away the Vikings"

Viking defense played a good game. Their offense and special teams left the W on the field.
