Bobcats were up 20 at some point in the second half and still managed to lose. There's #18!

Bobcats somehow finished 21-61 and still fired Mike Dunlap. Took too long!

You rang?

Mike Dunlap's hiring was a head scratcher to say the least in Charlotte. His firing? Not so much.

I thought I heard ESPN Radio's Carmen DeFalco mention this with Jurko & update anchor Sarah Spain this morning. Carm said that the Bobcats have gone through 5 head coaches in the last 7 years since Michael Jordan became an owner of that franchise. That can't be good.

Knicks are coming on strong for final playoff spot and are winners of 7 straight. Bulls fans should be rooting for a Bobcat collapse. Need to save that pick for another season.

I'm pretty sure Miami didn't care about today's game until 3:00 left in the 4th. Definite sweep.

This team is very bad. I thought they could potentially get as high as a 5th seed this year in the East, but even the playoffs seem like a longshot.

As much as it pains me to say this, Long Time Guy might be right on this one.

The word is they are about to abort mission on the Lance Stephenson experiment. He is on the block.

I was also right about Gasol not that I'm keeping score or anything

Could the Bulls put together some kind of poo-poo platter to get a deal done?

Dunlevey
McDermott
Picks

It's a gamble, but his contract is very cap friendly. Noah would keep the bullshit in line.

Quote:
Lance Stephenson available in trade

Charlotte Hornets swingman Lance Stephenson becomes eligible to be traded Monday and his new team is indeed exploring its options to move him, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Hornets, just 23 games into the Stephenson era, have already begun the process of searching for potential trade partners that would be willing to take the talented but enigmatic former Indiana Pacer off their‎ hands.

Although sources say no deal involving Stephenson is imminent, Monday is the first day that players signed to new contracts in July are eligible to be dealt, which typically triggers what teams leaguewide regard as "trade season" over the next two months leading into the annual February trade deadline.

One factor that could ultimately lead to a deal, despite Stephenson's ragged and discouraging start, is the fact that the three-year, $27 million deal he received over the summer from Charlotte owner Michael Jordan is only guaranteed through next season. The third year of the deal is not guaranteed, which theoretically enhances Charlotte's chances of finding another team willing to gamble ‎on the mercurial swingman.

Sources say that the Hornets are not in a move-him-at-all-costs mode with Stephenson but made it clear that Charlotte is ready now to abandon the experiment if a palatable deal presents itself.

Stephenson has quickly proved to be a poor fit alongside the Hornets' established core twosome of Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker, shooting 38.9 percent from the floor overall and 8-for-48 percent on 3-pointers during Charlotte's 6-17 start.

Projected by many NBA prognosticators to move up the Eastern Conference ladder this season after going 44-38 in 2013-14 to claim the East's No. 7 seed under first-year coach Steve Clifford, Charlotte ranks as one of the league's most disappointing teams through the first quarter of the schedule.

The Hornets followed up a double-overtime loss Friday night in Memphis with a 27-point home defeat Saturday to the Brooklyn Nets, who are in the midst of their own potential upheaval after ESPN.com reported earlier this week that the Nets had made it be known throughout the league that former All-Stars Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson are all available via trade.

On Dec. 1, Grantland's Zach Lowe reported that the Hornets "have been aggressive making trade calls" and "are willing to talk turkey on basically anyone other than" Jefferson and Walker.

Clifford said recently that some of Stephenson's struggles to adjust to new surroundings in Charlotte stem from the fact that too much was expected after the 24-year-old spurned a five-year, $44 million from the Pacers to stay in Indiana to sign a shorter deal with the Hornets.

"To be fair, one of the things that's made it more difficult for him is that he came here and people proclaimed him as the next superstar," Clifford said. "He's not a star. He's a guy that has talent to become a star. To be a star in this league, you have to do it over years."

On multiple occasions already this season, Clifford has sat Stephenson in the fourth quarter because of concerns about poor spacing and lack of ball movement in the Hornets' offense. Charlotte recently endured a 10-game losing streak, with Stephenson yet to relocate the consistency that enabled him to lead the league in triple-doubles last season with the Pacers.

Hornets down 19-0 to start the game let's see if Lance the prolific scorer can stop the run. I wouldn't trade for him because it would kill your outside shooting. He also is turnover prone. His salary and the contract makes him somewhat attractive but the Hornets have discovered that he really isnt all that talented. When you factor in the problems he creates you realize that he really isnt worth the risk.

I'm not saying to give up anything of value. If the Hornets are desperate, maybe you can acquire him for Dunlevey, or Snell, or McDermott. Maybe toss in a pick if you have too. The Bulls have too much veteran leadership for Lance to be a cancer in the locker room.

If the deal works out, the Bulls would become instant contenders. If it fails, they still have their core in place.

You trade Dunleavy straight up if you can. Anything more than that and you are overpaying

Right, that's why I put the "or's" in there. Just might need to make a package to match salary.

The Bulls would have to send a little more than $5M in contracts. Dunleavy and Snell gets you close. The Hornets would want a draft pick too. I wouldn't trade McBuckets.

This is totally a deal that GarPax wouldn't even pick up the phone to inquire about though, so it's wishful thinking. Lance really needs to go to a place like the Spurs. Pop would fix his bullshit pretty quick.

I hope he doesn't end up in Cleveland. He may end up in Houston because they still have that trade exception.

That would be a colossal failure. Dwight can't keep him under control. Probably not Harden either.

The biggest problem with Stephenson is that he thinks he is better than what he is. Guys like that rarely change their ways. He has been marketed as a multi talented guy that only needs to mature in order to be great. He has holes in his game aside from his attitude. He doesn't shoot well for one. Two if he has to handle it too much he will turn it over. He really isn't much of a shot creator either. He struggles to create his shot off the dribble. He is strong and can slash a little. He can pass also. He rebounds well for an off guard. Maybe Snell and Dunleavy nothing more. Gary Neal is stealing minutes from him in Charlotte. That tells you a lot about what they think of Stephenson.
