No. But the hire he has made is a complete disaster. It would at least score points if he acknowledged that with a firing of that disaster and tried doing something different. There is no point in defining insanity combined with ultimate stupidity by trotting that same head coach out for a 3rd pointless year.

I understand your point. The risk is if Emery makes another poor choice you'll be living with it for another couple of years (at least). If they stay the course and fail then you'll get the housecleaning that appears necessary.

No, you don't understand my entire point, I'll expand a bit: they've already made a poor choice, so there isn't really a difference in taking a chance on another guy outside of potential financial loss. It's already pointless to keep Trestman going forward, it's at least worth a look or a shot at another HC. If staying the course as is means cleaning house a year from now, then clean it now when you know it's already filthy.


Emery doesn't have to be part of the future here either.
