The Redskins aren't going to be the only ones in on Cutler. Could end up being anyone.

A team would have to be really dumb to trade for Jay Cutler.

This is Trestman's call. It doesn't benefit anybody else.

Nas, who do you want that you could conceivably get?

Didn't Trestman say in today's press conference he was not making any changes?

Score right now trying to say they knew that Trestman knew about benching before the presser today?

I dont think there will be much demand for Jay. Nothing positive can come from having him as your QB. Oakland and Jax both have young QB's with a higher cieling than Jay.

Did they abandon Illinois basketball? I wanted to hear some Bears talk this evening but 670 had Illinois basketball, WGN/The Game had Northwestern basketball, and AM1000 had UIC basketball.

Yup. Then he was told to bench Jay afterwards. I wonder how Adam Sheffter discovered this news?

Did anyone ask Trestman about those plays? If in fact Cutler changed them to runs, he should be strung up by the balls.

Theo must be setting the Bears lineup too.

Christ. I tune in and Ostrowski has Mike Mulligan on as a guest.

Why?

I'd ask Mulligan a 10 minute question and then say goodbye.

Thanks a ton.

I actually think this was Emery's call. And it wasn't made until after Trestman spoke to the media. Think about it. Had to be that way. Cuz Trestman would have told the media. No reason to hide it.

No. It doesn't make Emery look bad for the contract. The bad play does, of course. Not this. Once again, you're protecting a multi million dollar asset from injury in meaningless games. For next year or for a trade. That's how they'll explain it. And it makes perfect sense. Mully doens't get it. Neither does Joe. As I'm listening to them. Neither do some of you guys.

And Trestman can say, "I'm looking to win each game. I was planning on playing Jay. Phil made the call cuz he's looking at the bigger picture."

And there is nothing wrong with that. Why? Cuz that's what you should do.

But the media won't see it this way. They'll see it the dumb way.

The NFL might have an issue with it though, as the game is meaningful to Detroit and others.

Several people have claimed Cutler was told first thing this morning. Trestman knew at the presser.

I guess you can criticize Emery for waiting until after Trestman spoke to make this call. He should have known that he wanted to do this on Tuesday and have told the media then. Maybe he was just late to figuring out this is what should be done. But he got to the right decision.

Teams that have clinched the playoffs and byes at this point have been resting their QBs for years. NFL doesn't say shit. So this the same thing. Each team does what's best for their organization for whatever reason. Other teams are mad. Tough. Should have won more games so it didn't come down to the last two.

So maybe Trestman will say he wanted to keep it quiet to prevent the Lions from gameplanning against Clausen ( ). But then Cutler probably leaked it.

Hey Psycory...
Is it possible you could prepare for us a psychological profile of the Chicago Bears?

I'm pretty sure if he tried that, he would land into a world of depression and eventually ritualistically kill 17 people.
