Continually doing this doesn't help.
Firing Mazzone didn't make much sense to me either.

Surprised the O's didn't hire Dusty. "We're getting the band back together!"

How do you think Mazzone feels right now? He gave up probably the cushiest gig in baseball to go work his charms on assorted castoffs in Baltimore. His magic touch has been tarnished somewhat, but it seem the birds are broken beyond repair.

I don't know about that hoot. He helped to get Bedard back on the right track. The real impressive reclamation project would have been Cabrera.

Who would you rather have: Mazzone or Rothschild?

Is there somewhere I can go or a movie I can rent to catch the end of that avatar?

Here's yet another reason why the Orioles continue to suck. They got 3 prospects for loaning Trachsel to the Cubs, so they're not totally stupid. Until one of those three hits the Bigs, I'll still deride the Orioles for being bafflingly stupid.

The Orioles have spoken with Steve Trachsel’s representatives about bringing the veteran back to the team.

The club is looking for someone to mentor the young pitchers competing for the fifth spot in the rotation, such as Troy Patton, Garrett Olson, Matt Albers and Hayden Penn. It has also spoken to Josh Fogg.

if trachsel is going to mentor those guys, they will have the slowest rotation in the big leagues. watching him pitch is like watching grass grow. i was flabbergasted the cubs brought him back last year and actually pitched him down the stretch.

When Mc Fail was hired I was all over the Orioles Messages boards telling the fans that he is like a cost cutting president.

His job is to make money! Winning is the secondary function of what he does. hes till shleps out that Twins 1987 (?) World Series when he spent very little money and won a world series ! 20 years ago!

His job at Wrigley was to make money, but he became so blinded and he assumed Cub fans would come out no matter what and he was wrong!

in 2006, those games started getting empty in early August! and everyone says the tickets are sold! but the Beer isn't and the Beer, popcorn, shirts, and hats cost almost as much.
