I don't understand this enthusiasm for Harbaugh, the guy that Ditka once famously chewed out for all the world to see after Harbaugh audibled as QB and then threw a pick 6, resulting in a Vikings win over the Bears at the Metrodome. The same guy who thought that Mr. Tatoo Kaepernick was good.

NO, I don't want him. It did not end for him well in Frisco and the collapse there was all his making. I would rather have a guy like like Mike Shanny who has already won the big one.

Here you go.

No.

Seems completely unrealistic to expect the Bears to become a serious suitor for Jim Harbaugh. Michigan seems to be willing to pay him more than the NFL and at least one report has him going there already. I'm not sure what the Bears could offer other than not being the Raiders, but allowing him to stay in the NFL.

The only chance is if his wife for family or other reasons just has to be in Chicago.

No matter what happens in the front office, I expect a coach with experience (Shanahan, maybe Rex Ryan) to be the primary candidates this time around.

Shanny is too old. Not interested. Bears need a coach whose career is ascending, not descending. Rex Ryan is another peter principle guy...hes a DC, not a head coach.

I'm not all that excited about Shannahan. I'll take Harbaugh.

Yup. Harbaugh said that he doesn't want to respond to the Michigan offer until he sees what other NFL opportunities present themselves. I hope George presents himself at 12:01 Monday.

Then UM says FU this is $50 million take it now or we are walking. We aren't a leverage machine.

That's why I'm inclined to think this is an "agent-inspired" offer and not real.

He's better than that.

But every QB is a system QB. Some just look flashier than others.

I understand you are traumatized after the bowl defeat and not thinking clearly so I will just leave it that I disagree

I called that bowl defeat almost to the point.

As for Fales, in for a penny...

you need to be grooming a different Fales every single year and maybe once in 10-15 you get lucky.

I don't work that way.

Fales is the guy.

No word on Bears being interested in Harbaugh. Raiders and Michigan are it from what I've seen. Very disappointing.

The only person who could confirm interest is Dan Bernstein, and he would only say that the Bears are having meetings, and are aware of Jim Harbaugh.

There are reports now that Harbaughs family is flying to Ann Arbor Monday, and that the band has been notified that they are performing. FUCK!!! Bears miss out again.
Harbaugh vs Meyer should be quite a thing.
At least I'll have a team to root for in the Big 10.

Now I'm starting to think that perhaps Rex Ryan or Leslie Frazier may be the next Bears coach. FUCK!!!

Fucking Bears.
