Babcock Hall from U of Wisconsin.

They had a chocolate/white chocolate ribbon thing that was excellent.

this might be the best ice cream ever :

gonna take a sec and break it down for you:
1. Base is super premium. rich, smooth, creamy. amazing
2. the 2 add-ins are a peppermint swirl and peppermint candy pieces. you'd think it would all be one-note and overwhelming, but all 3 flavors are distinct and blend together in perfect harmony. like ebony and ivory. and a 3rd thing
3. the candy pieces are perfect in size. they aren't too large nor are they crushed into tiny shards. big enough to get a solid crunch without breaking your teeth
4. the majority of peppermint-holiday themed treats involve chocolate. not to say that isn't a great combo, but this ice cream boldly steps out on its own with nothing but peppermint and pulls it off spectacularly

I still claim that the Penn State Creamery ice cream is the best.
However, here's a good second choice:

Yes, from the same people who gave you Yuengling lager. They started making ice cream during prohibition, stopped in the eighties and have brought it back this year and is delicious. The Black and Tan - Belgian chocolate ice cream swirled with salted caramel ice cream. I usually like ice cream with chunks of stuff in it, but this is fantastic.

I've got a turtle ice cream cake from Whitey's sitting in the freezer right now that may just be the greatest ice cream thing I've ever consumed.

one of the greatest snl skits of all time

I remember dubbing Fred Huebner and Anne Maxfield as Steve and Edie from that skit because of the way they agreed with everything North said on his morning show. Fred didn't like it. This resulted in one of the earliest board mentions on the Score

Frank: You're all right. You could pick up a check once in a while.
Edie: Hey, that's not fair.
Frank: Shut up!
