It was a show about rich, erudite New Englanders in which a young mother reconciles with her estranged WASP parents in order to pay her precocious daughter's prep-school/Ivy-League tuition. It consists of people talking really fast and making lots of high/low/in-between cultural references. I can't think of many television shows you'd have liked less.
