QB rating, postseason only, since 2008:

2008: 50.8 (3 games played)
2009: 39.4 (2 games played)
2010: 90.0 (2 games played)
2011: 96.1 (2 games played)
2012: 117.2 (4 games played)

He had one amazing run in 2012 that skewed his stats. Those first 9 games ('08-'11) avg out to 67.0.

What's not true?

Those numbers are Flacco's postseason ratings according to ESPN. Take it up with them.

It wasn't just 1 postseason run. He outperformed Brady H2H for several years.

I'd be interested to hear why you think it's more "Flacco" than "Harbaugh".

To me, he is one of the top 3 coaches in the NFL, especially over the last several years.

I think it has been both. He just seems to elevate his game. He was just a guy before his SB run but if you looked deeper you noticed he was a big game QB.

My bigger point is that the Ravens have had playoff success due to their head coach and their defense, not Flacco.

Ill stand by my earlier post of Flacco's playoff ratings.

edit: keeping in mind the years they didn't even make the playoffs

Not only was Az's offense historically bad, but that means we just witnessed the greatest defensive performance in the history of the playoffs, right? I mean, if one team is the worst, than the other team is the best ever, no?

You arguing Brady playoff success?

I'm not sure what you're saying. Yes the Ravens defense is usually good but over the past 4 trips to the playoffs (including this one) Flacco has played at an elite level. He deserves credit for his play. Even if you include the regular season he has outperformed Brady (statistically) h2h over the past 4 or 5 matchups.

Because you're being cute and including his first 2 years in the league when he was awful. In his last 4 trips to the playoffs he has 20 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. That is elite. I haven't looked but I doubt any QB is even close to that.
