Saw someone point out that Ballard was hired after Toub was in KC, so I wonder if they really are that connected. I'm sure it's possible, but it's not like Ballard brought him in or anything. I would assume he's just as connected with Bowles.

Hiring Ballar and Toub could be the very best choice and even if they win a Super Bowl next year, this rouet only emphasizes what complete idiots Ted and George are that they hired someone to find them the few guys that they should know ....and 1 one of them know VERY well. As a fan who doesn't know if Phillips has any idea what he is doing, I'm thrilled they hired a consultant.

Even if they think the best was Ballard, and Ernie just confirms that after interviewing more candidates, it's money well spent.

But this is the industry the family is in. This isnt a hobby. if they dont know the business, get out and dont expect compliments for taking 30 years to semi admit you dont what the fuck you are doing....

NOW, if you want to tell me all the McCaskeys are involved in some other business and have been for years, thus they hire someone else to pick the best people for them, OK, then you can give them credit....this is like getting credit for a Anthony Rizzo HR because I sat in the first row of the bleachers and I didnt knock it back on the field.

btw, "circumstances" would have been a better word than situations.

I would never argue they have the correct hierarchy or people currently in place (Phillips over football decisions, for example). But with the current system as is, I am really glad they got help.
