I think what you will hear, is who will you get that's better, in one of the comments, nobody is really a knock out this year, someone threw out Rex Ryan and another comment, put how did that work out for the Bears.

I think Lewis sticks around, if he was going to get fired for playoff losses, wouldn't it have been last year losing at home, but I will say looked like they would win the division, didn't, got swept by the Steelers, lost a bad game at home to the Browns, I don't think the Bengals do it, but you can make a strong case he should.

I don't get why Lovie is taking a beating here. He made a Super Bowl, nearly 2.

But I agree that was pass interference.

I assume you are talking to me. I am comparing the extremely conservative play calling by Lovie and Caldwell. Caldwell took his foot of the gas in the second half, and it cost them far more than bad officiating. Punting on 4th and 1 at the Dallas 40 yard line is inexcusable. When deciding whether or not to go for it on fourth down, there are two questions one must ask. First, what does the opposing coach want me to do here. I guarantee Garrett wanted Detroit to punt. Second, what would Belichick do here. He would have gone for it without thinking. John Harbaugh went for it last night in a similar situation. They converted, and put the game away. Winning coaches don't coach scared, which is what Caldwell did in the second half.



I have to think you are trolling here. It was a textbook example of defensive pass interference. You are the first person that I have heard suggest that Pettigrew should have been flagged. The defender could have been called for a holding penalty about ten yards before the pass interference. He grabbed jersey, and held on. I watched it at least a dozen times.

Again, this is all moot if Caldwell didn't go into prevent offense. The play calling in the second half was atrocious. It was mostly runs between the tackles, and screens that got sniffed out immediately. Top notch coaches do not play for field goals and punts. Caldwell got pantsed by Garrett.

I cannot believe that the officials picked up that flag! That was the worst example of incompetent officiating that I can recall in some time.

I really believe that the Lions got robbed there.

I agree at real speed it was defensive PI. But the replay showed the WR grabbing the guy's facemask which reduced my outrage by about 80%.

Pettigrew didn't grab any facemask. Here is a view from both sides. Pettigrew's left hand is on the side of the helmet, which isn't a penalty.

To put it simply,every NFL game I have ever watched,THAT is Defensive PI. Somebody should be fired for picking up that flag.

I found this on a site where Cowboys fans wanted to see Pettigrew's alleged facemask grab. This was the best they could find.

Pettigrew is pushing the facemask not grabbing it. He was trying to separate from Hitchens, who had a hand full of jersey with the left hand.

I am thoroughly enjoying seeing the Lions season ending with them complaining that a call should have been made.

It was a brutal no-call. And how can you not flag Dez Bryant for running onto the field with no helmet on? Just brutal.

That said, Lions gon Lion. Up 14, then up 10, penalties, virtually nothing on offense in the 3rd quarter. They had many chances to win that game and failed multiple times.
