Also better than Taj.

Not yet but he will be very soon. That's not a knock on Taj. Mirotic has star potential.
I would look to deal Taj in order to get a starting wing player. Not a knock on Dunleavy but if you can upgrade you do it

I wouldn't be opposed to that. Injuries to Noah or Gasol would be the only thing to worry about. I would start Mirotic and bench Dunleavy though. Taj could be trade bait in the offseason. They don't want to mess up the chemistry.

Trading Taj now would be a gamble because if someone gets hurt you do lose your depth advantage. If they think they have a legit shot you do it. It's obvious the Bulls are for real and you may not get another season like this out of Gasol and Butler s status for next yr is up for grabs.

Patrick made himself an NBA player. I've known him since he was in high school. He verbally committed then later de committed to Toledo after his junior year in high school. I asked him why would he do that because honestly I believed him to be a mid major prospect at best. He told me that he believed that he was a high major prospect. Later he committed to Arkansas and as a freshman was the SEC freshman player of the year. He had a few issues and left following his freshman yr. His journey to the NBA took him to a lot of places that he couldn't locate on a map if he had to. He essentially went to Houston and took Jeremy Lin's starting spot. Last night it probably was little personal with Rose because Simeon beat him two yrs in a row downstate. He got the best of Rose during a christmas tournament at Chicago State but Rose got him when it counted. He is a fierce competitor and I personally am happy to see him make it because I am aware of the roads that he has traveled to get there. He is one of the type of guys that will play the same way no matter who he is matched up against. I would see him go hard against kids that 6-7 yrs younger than he while he was in high school. That's just the way he competes.

If I remember I believed he had a torn meniscus last yr. and refused to have surgery which would have ended his season. He continued to play.

the houston announcers last night were calling for the rockets to leave jimmy open on 3's.

by the 3rd quarter, they shifted their stance and said "man, he has REALLY improved since we last saw him"

he played with rose in high school. he was trying to show him up. pretty much worked too because derrick was terrible again.

good sign is even when derrick is horrible he can still pop off a few runs and get his 20 points.

He didn't play with Rose in high school. Rose played at Simeon and Patrick played at Marshall.

Thanks to Derrick Rose's successive season-ending knee injuries and Patrick Beverley's circuitous route to the NBA, Monday night marked the first time the close friends and former Public League rivals faced off since Simeon vs. Marshall.

They played against each other at least 4 times that i know of. They played against each other twice downstate once in the city playoffs and once during a christmas tournament. When you said he played with him it suggests that they were on the same team.

Not to anyone but you, apparently.

I used to play baseball with friends. It got pretty boring when we all played for the same team against an empty field.

I go out and golf with friends. We rotate shots and just tally up one score.

Sometimes at the bar, I play cricket with friends. I've never won nor lost.

I don't get your point. To suggest that they played with each other implies that they were on the same team. They weren't. They competed against each other while in high school. I know you're attempting to be witty but you're sounding rather dumb

No. You can play 'with' someone while playing 'against' them. I just described three scenarios in which that is the case. A fourth would be when we used to go to the Meineke Rec Center in Schaumburg for Open Gym basetball on the weekends when I was in high school.

The only person that thinks he meant they played on the same team is you.

You need to realize this.

Wrong. Magic did not play together with Bird during the 80's. Manning does not play football together with Brady.

I guess Isaiah played with Jordan during all of those conf. finals in which Isaiah and the Bad Boy Pistons were clotheslining the hell out of him. They were on the same team. Who knew?

I wonder if you could name any of the players that actually did play with them off hand? i.e. without doing a google search

Play with whom? Your overzealous use of pronouns would make a fifth grader sad.

Your incessant need to deflect rather than engage would make a rudimentary debater appear to be Clarence Darrow.

I wonder if you could actually name any of the players from Rose's Simeon team or Beverly's Marshall team? I hope that provides some clarity for you.

I cannot.

Can you name any players from my high school basketball team?

Hell, I remember across town when Mark Pancratz led Schaumburg through a big upset over Eddy Curry's Thornwood.

Dropping high school basketball knowledge on your ass. Because important.

Not really relevant. In each instance you have shown yourself to be sort of a fool. I merely corrected someone who reported something that was factually incorrect. You interjected with information that also was incorrect. Knowledgeable sports people know that there is a difference between playing on a team with someone and playing against them. In typical fashion you're attempting to be witty as a means of disguising your ignorance on the matter. That is an old message board trick.

Tim Flowers.Played.With.Rose

Bryant Orange.Played.With.Rose.

A guy with the last name Johnson.Played.With.Rose

In each instance they were on the same team.

Patrick Beverly.Did Not. He.Competed.Against.Rose.

I haven't seen anyone say they played for the same high school team. Additionally, do you realize there is an edit function? Multiple posts in a row is considered spamming and is an offense in which banning is considered.

This board doesn't want to lose you as a poster.

You make IkeSouth look like Adrian Wojnarowski.
