No, I'm not worried about FOTS suing me. He still says nice things about me on the air from time to time.

I'll bet your dad still makes you wash the dishes, though, so the cost is a bit more.

I have given up fucking with the mentally ill here for 2015.

I wish you and yours a great New Year and an endless supply of Worlds Finest Chocolate.

Its the McBears, they are idiots, but they have failed so much, maybe one day they get it right.

I know how to call Dan Bernstein, too.

It doesn't make you special.

When you pick a guy as young as Ryan for GM, one cannot help to think that he is a stooge GM for Teddy or for whomever pulling the strings for the Bears.

I have a hard time putting confidence in a 36 year old guy just hired to make the right decision about who the Bears' next head coach should be for the next four years. How the bleep is he supposed to know who are the good coaches when he's never evaluated a coach in his life?

Too bad Ricketts just didn't turn over the baseball side to someone more qualified.

Oh wait.

Jeez, Ditka really forever scarred them from hiring anybody who has a strong personality.

Yup. And they passed on Jim Harbaugh TWICE! The Bears are such a small time operation.

They didn't pass on him. He took a paycut to go to Michigan.

The Bears did not go after Harbaugh. He would have taken the job.

The Bears and other teams put in calls to Harbaugh but he didn't change his mind.

George was asked if Harbaugh was contacted and he said no. But I'm sure he wouldn't lie.

When the Cubs win something under Theo, or anyone else, stop back and sell some woof tix.

Same for you and Ted and George. At least Ricketts seems to know he's not a baseball guy.

The McCaskeys won a Super Bowl and lost another.

That would be a great century for the Cubs.

And 30 years later they are still looking for the right guys. Don't worry, they'll get it right one of these days.

They have gotten it right twice .

When the Cubs get it right once you won't have to go looking for me.

A couple years ago on the Shark Tank, Mark Cuban destroyed some dude who came it with a fairly decent product. Paraphrasing...

Cuban: You are a fit looking guy. What do you do?
Hopeful: Marathons, triathlons, train a lot, run, swim, bike.
Cuban: Is this regimen important to you?
Hopeful: very important (going on an on how it helps him etc.)
Cuban: I'm not putting my money with the guy who's going to spend xxx hours a day exercising and not thinking about making me money.

Twice? Did I miss the second title? Or were the McCaskeys the owners in 63?

And just to clairfy....you think 1 title every 30 or so years is acceptable?

Nope. After he received the Michigan offer, Harbaugh said that he would not make a decision until he saw what other NFL jobs opened up after the NFL season ended. The Bears did not contact Harbaugh. The family & Teddy are afraid of type A guys like Harbaugh.

He has very low expectations PM. If you or I had just 1 good year out of 4 or 5 we would be fired & rightly so.

I was under the impression that '85 was Halas' lasting stamp. Is it fair to give McCaskey's credit for that win under their stewardship?

Also, Ricketts has only been owner for 5 seasons. If we want to be fair we should give him 30 like the McCaskey's before denouncing him.

Everyone should hire Rocky Wirtz for a lot of money to clue them in. He got that thing right and fast.

Eastern? Interesting. Went to Eastern, worked with a head coach who went to Eastern at his last gig. Makes me think that Shanahan might get a call... Or Jurko!
