City of St Louis and Miss Gov, got together and put forth an effort for an outdoor MLS/NFL facility. $900 Mill expected

Still not sure how every other NFL team gets new deals for Stadiums and the Bear still play in the shithole.

Isn't this why the NFL owners don't want a team in LA, so they can always use "we'll pull up stakes and move to LA" to get a new stadium built on the taxpayers' dime.

It's just an idea. The funding plan for the stadium is unrealistic BS.

why would owner give up seat license money?

also... why would you build an outdoor stadium in a climate that gets cold in the winter...?

It's not even that™, it's a problem with how unbearably humid and gross St. Louis is from July to September.

At any rate, this was just St. Louis trying to show they negotiated in good faith. The Rams are gone. 64,000-seat stadium in St. Louis or 80,000-seat entertainment complex in Los Angeles?

The Bears stadium won't change for at least 20 more years.

Where is this "Bears Stadium" you speak of? The bears play on Field A of the CPD.

It's really something how the Packers got their renovation so right and the Bears got theirs so wrong. Lambeau looks like the cathedral of American football now.

Its funny how part of the story comes out on the Bears Soldier Field deal?

Why wouldn't an even partially competent CEO (Mike McCaskey) be able to go and sit down with another CEO/Owner of a Pro Sports Team in his own city????

If you want to believe the Virgina made Ted the President because Mikey screwed up the Dave McGuiness firing, thats just naive and foolish.

?

Tom Ricketts might not love Jerry R, but he has a business relationship with him and Rocky, as they have very unqiue and similar issues. Why wouldnt the other and largest team in town have that same relationship wth these people he should have so much in common with?

Anyone remember when Mike McCaskey asked the ublic for a donation of 20 acres to build a practice facility? He wasnt asking the government, he just asked the public that if anyone had 20 acres they wanted to give him, that would be great.

i think they should built the worlds first underground football stadium and project a hologram image above it that looks like an nfl stadium. that way when they mess up the design its just a photoshop fix.

The Mole People will probably support the Rams better than the people above ground have.

It's interesting that the McClaskeys not only have poor relationships with other Chicago sports owners, but with fellow NFL owners as well. If these people are so polite and genteel, why are they worse at building relationships than Al Davis?

And just so Seacrest can rest his little head, this isnt about Mike McCaskey being anti semtic, its about the immediate family being socially retarded and not having the ability to be social to another person. They rest everything about them and how others should treat them on the "We own the Chicago Bears" theory, of which the result is exactly as you would expect. They get nothing for it, except for the truth coming to the surface in the result of a failed organization that could be run by a group of 1st year grad students better than this family has..

Looking at that photo, they would be putting the stadium somewhere right nearby Laclede's Landing. That would make for an...interesting...gameday experience.

Not that it's ever gonna happen.

It's pretty well north of the Landing in one of St. Louis's many post-industrial hellscapes.

I dunno...based on where Lumiere is in the drawing, it didn't seem to be that far north, but given your hatred of all things St. Louis, I'll defer to your expertise. :D

I believe it's at the southeast corner of 1st Street and Mullanphy Street. I guess if they develop it the whole way down, they'll hit the Landing, but that's a pretty long way to walk.

It's OK at this point in your life to develop a voice of your own. One based on actual exploration of ideas and facts. Come out of the shadows and into the outside world.

I promise you it's not as scary as you believe.

I handle the "outside world" fine, thanks. I don't think I lack a voice.
