I try to go to places where I know I'm getting a quality/freshly prepared meal. Not reheated frozen slop. I wouldn't call that snobby.

I understand. I've been to both McBride's locations - each very good. I'm hoping the one on 52 survives as it is a bigger place that's had quite a few tenants over the years (including T&T's which was opened by Thayer and Tomzak...they ruined what had been a pretty cool interior).

I just love all the qualifiers and lawyer-speak most people have to use while discussing restaurants.

"It's fine for quick a bite....I mean, it's better than eating your own shit."

"It's pretty good in a pinch.........you could do a lot worse, like having someones diseased liver served to you."

And then what's touted as infinitely superior is some shit-hole place in the city (of course!) that does all the same tricks but hipsters like it so it's the best food ever and you peons are an easily fooled bunch of tasteless morons.

Also, this is what happens in an era when editors no longer exist:

I agree, I don't feel like there are a lot of good places to eat. Kids dig CF and when they pick it, I'm okay with it because there is a lot worse out there. I hate all the restaurants that douchebag listed except for Chili's. I've never felt the city stuff is much better though. Maybe we don't find the right places, idk.

If you guys are ever out this way there's a place called Los Dos that's got good fresh Mexican food.
