I'm guessing Kubiak looked at the open jobs out there and saw no-win scenarios for HC
1) bears = obvious bad
2) Raiders = obvious bad
3) Jets = obvious bad and they have a guy
4) Bills = Rex Ryan
5) Falcons = ??? Still cannot figure this one out. Player-wise this looks to be the best opportunity for being competitive right away
6) Broncos = a) I'm guessing Kubiak knows either Manning is done or retiring b) Elway is insane and probably a nightmare to deal with c) full re-building mode.
7) 49ers = Jed York appears to be working on his Jerry Jones / Al Davis skills of being a meddling owner.

Kubiak may actually be very smart to wait.
