He benefitted from anti-Boozer sentiment. It's sort of like how the 2nd string quarterback is always the most popular player on the team. Gasol has kind of exposed him. He has been able to highlight the shortcomings of Gibson. He is an undersized four with limited skills. He can't pass and doesn't have much of a post game. He is a ball stopper strangely enough. He does give maximum effort but his limitations as a player will hurt you in the long run

I agree, ltg. I don't see the big fuss about him. The few times Ive watched the Bull this year he certainly hasn't done anything. If they have to dump him to keep Butler, do it.

I was hoping that they could dangle him for a starting small forward maybe a Jeff Green or someone similar. I think they will def. look into during the off season. Mirotic makes him expendable and if Gibson is as valuable as some think the Bulls should be able to get something for him
