These announcers are so full of shit. They incorrectly stated that Schobel made his first catch in the 4th quarter(he had one in the first) and that Trent Cole and the Eagle finally got a sack in the 4th quarter(Cole had one earlier, I think in the 2nd) and now they are talking up the win saying it was a gutcheck win and "No doubt about it, the Bears are back in this race!). Enough with the bullshit, this was a lucky win and the Bears showed absolutely nothing again in their 3rd win, just like the previous 2 wins. Upgrading from Rex to Griese is basically trading 4-12 for 8-8. Congratulations.

I agree.

Agreed. Devin hester almost lost this game for the Bears as well since he never knows where to line up. Luckily they did not need that other timeout.

I'll take the victory - it basically kept our season alive, and we have a chance to go into the bye week at 4-4, but we still have a bad offense, and no running game.

First order of business - give Adrian Peterson the ball next week. I've seen enough of Benson had his 2 yards a carry to know he's not the answer.

Hester is football retarded like me picking games this week. When he is out there he gets attention and leaves the door open for other guys who know how to run routes and line up. #80 can't catch big passes for some reason this year. Defense still looks bad and 0 turnovers in 2 straight games doesn't make me feel confident. They won't get hot like the Rockies to make any noise in the playoffs so just stay healthy and play the young guys like Hester more on offense.

Peterson just hits the hole quicker.

I would love to see some tape of Benson at Texas and in the NFL side by side. Its obvious he is dancing before he hits hole, but his whole style is different too, and I don't think it can somehow be attributed to playing at this level.

Brian Griese still has some talent but he still throws dumb passes.

Luckily his last dumb pass ended up winning the game :)

Except the last sentence. One of us is wrong, there can only be one "most" overrated player. Im not going to argue your point though, Favre hasnt played well in the past two games and against Washington that was the worst game I have seen him play since that Rams game in the playoffs several years ago. Numbers dont begin to tell the story, he should have had 5 INTs that game. Other than that game though I dont have any complaints nor do I with the team in general, they have greatly exceeded all my expectations through 6 weeks.

Brian Griese has his share of critics but for 3 weeks in a row he has brought the Bears from behind in the second half. That last drive was beautiful.

The defense still is struggling. Bears take a 12-9 lead and the defense gives up a 70 TD yard drive and if it wasn't for that holding call on the Eagles last meaningful drive, they might have run out the clock. I only watched the second half today but it seems the Bears are not blitizing like they did the first couple weeks of the season. The Eagles don't have great receivers and Mcnabb is not the most accurate QB, lets bring six or seven and force the action.

And on the first Bear drive in the second half, first and goal at the three. Why not line up and run Benson on three downs and get a TD. Why are you passing on the first two downs?

There are still a lot of issues, but a victory is a victory, and we needed that.

That was the most exciting Bears game I've seen in years. Griese actually looked like a QB on that last drive instead of a "game manager."

Bears defense is wretched. Time to open up the offense because they are not going to keep good teams from scoring.

How do you think the Iggles fans feel about their 2-minute prevent defense?

And Griese's helmet radio was broken so he called the plays on the final drive himself.

I sure would not want to be a Philly fan this week.

That explains why we never saw a draw play on that drive.

Just read the Tribune and saw the grades John Mullin gave:
Offense - B
Defense - B+
Special Teams - B+
Coaching - B.

I could have sworn I watched a game that required a miracle drive for the win. Judging by the grades, I was watching a different game.

I have to ask the question--if the writer isn't going to take the assignment seriously, why should the reader accept this sort of 'expertise?' Go look at the Philly Inquirer web site--they graded the Eagles with Ds and Fs.

The Bears were bad for 59 minutes in that game - they stepped it up only when Ron Turner couldn't the call the plays anymore.

Nas, your comments are getting so ridiculous that even your Bears brethen don't even comment on them anymore

What's interesting is that in that final drive, Griese's headset wasn't working in his helmet, so he had to call his own plays. Seems he was a better Offensive Coordinator than Turner, too.
