When you have the 2nd best coach in the NBA there should never be talk about him being on a hot seat. Derrick Rose is a cancer. It's probably his people that's pushing the story.

The idea of being the 3rd or 4th best player is something he can't deal with.

You're chance at replacing Thibs with a better coach is next to nil. Maybe some folks are seeing the Atlanta Hawks and are thinking there are better coaches out there. You can keep the crap that Cleveland hired.

I'm not sure the second best coach in the NBA can be a guy who has his best accomplishment as losing 4-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals 5 years ago with the league MVP on his team.

Del Negro has accomplished more but Dan didn't like him because he looked good in a suit.

He won a title in Boston. Who's better than him? He's led some awful Bulls teams further than anyone thought possible.

I do put much of this blame on Gar. This is the path we know this team cant take. If 13 cant play physically, he cant go, no matter how much Dr. Thibbs thinks he should.

What becomes the problem is when 1 and 13 see it the same way v. Thibbs.

Noah is the swing guy in all of this.

It was pretty easy to some this coming and Gar should have been all over this before the season started,

In the regular season but his teams have fizzled out in the playoffs. It could be a complete lack of talent but it is becoming a trend.

With the exception of Butler and Gasol everyone's minutes are down. I think it's a bad when management gives guys like Rose excuses not to play hard or play at all.

+1,000,000

Derrick Rose is pretty much the worst Chicago sportsman ever.

Those teams shouldn't have been in the playoffs. Last year was disappointing but when Augustin is your best scorer you can't get too upset about it.

He isn't and I don't think he should be. If I was a guy like Butler or Taj I wouldn't like it either.

He's a good coach, but the bar is set pretty low if what he has done makes you the second best coach in the league.

Rose should play like 10 minutes/game. He's a poor man's Ben Gordon.

There are two problems that I have with Thibs. 1. Development of younger players. 2. He will err on the side of defense invariably. Ultimately I don't think he is the problem. I don't think that he is the second best coach in the league either. He is good but he has been outcoached in a couple of playoff series. I don't think that he should be on the hot seat.

I would probably put Thibs in the bottom third of coaches in that respect. Jimmy Butler only received playing time once Luol Deng was injured. He is jerking Mirotic around right now. McDermott's playing time was on the decline before he was put on the shelf. Tony Snell in now behind Hinrich and Etwaun Moore. Thibs loves his vets although Kirk Hinrich committed one of the dumbest fouls that I have ever seen committed during any game. He cost them a game with that. He continues to trot Hinrich out there game after game even though it is clear that Hinrich is on his last legs.

So much for Thibs teaching anyone to play D...those that knew have suddenly forgot. There is a poison in this locker room and his name is Rose :!:
