He isn't missed in New England, at all. ALL the credit goes to Billy B and Brady in New England.

Do you also view Romeo Crennel as an elite coordinator?

Rick, Weiss (sp) has had success elsewhere, that was the point of my post. Him turning things around for some teams after arriving and being a respectable offensive mind is not a fluke. And if you believe it is, then know that the evidence is not on your side.

His college experience has gone differently, but he has been good as an OC on several teams or as a position coach in the pro's.

I'm not sure why you would argue these things aren't true.

He had one good year in Kansas City. I don't think that is enough proof to say he is a legit playcaller. I don't really care how good of a job he did in the 90s. Mike Martz was pretty good around that time too and I don't think he is a legit playcaller now.

No he wasn't. The Patriots literally didn't miss Weis at all. The offense was as good or better pretty much every year after he left.

Charlie Weis was Patriots OC from 2000-2004. During his 5 seasons as OC, Patriots won three Super Bowls. Since he left the team, the Patriots have not won another Super Bowl.

Are you seriously crediting the offensive coordinator as the difference there?

I think Charlie Weis deserves some credit as the OC of a team that won three Super Bowls in a five year span, especially considering that this was at the beginning of Tom Brady’s career. I think it's more than coincidence that the team has failed to win a Super Bowl since he left after winning three in the five years he was there.

Once again, the Patriots offense has been as good or better since then pretty much every year.

The Tom Brady contract is probably the reason they haven't won Super Bowls at the same clip.

Not to mention, the Patriots are about to play their 3rd Super Bowl since they lost Weis. Are you saying the difference between winning and losing the Super Bowl is Charlie Weis?
