I'm remodeling my kitchen and my plan is to use a separate cook top and oven. I'd be happy to get a hold of a restaurant style (used is fine) cook top. I've done internet searches and have been to a few places that sell used equipment, but I'm posting it here, as well. Some of you cats have interesting insights on a wide variety of topis, so...

Does this really warrant a thread? What, do you plan on baking cherry pie in your new oven? We got a new oven last year. It's heaven.

Probably not, and this thread will die like most of the threads I post in here, but I'm hoping someone has "a guy" and I'll find a bad ass stove top for a fairly reasonable price...

Know what you are looking for in terms of BTU. Cant use crap pots and pans on a good commercial top, gonna melt them and burn the pans.

If you really cook, its the way to go. Great sear on the food.

or let me suggest Bob King Auctions. Lotsa rest stuff, or advanced auctions. Sell really cheap at auctions.

Younger days I would hit an auction and buy plates, cups, napkins for like $1 for a full case of them with a some name printed on them.

Would come home with a car load of stuff for less than $50 and give it to the guys who lived above me too. We had CHECKERS 16 Oz cups for about a year I think.
