I'd really love to see it, and it's more likely to happen than Yanks/Mets or Angels/Dodgers. Now I'm not up enough on the AL, but I know the NL Central pretty good. It's going to be 5 team clusterfuck! I predict that at some point each team will take a turn in first place with no team eliminated 'till late in September.

I don't have a bucket list, but if the Cubs DO win the Pennant I'll make the trip to Chi Town and hang out on Rush Street again for the first time in 20 years. BTW....is route 66 still open?

I get more of the still drunk from the Bulls win the other night vibe...

Cubs will win 78-84 games this year. Maybe get that awful 2nd WC, but likely not. Baseball will be fun to watch again for the first time in years.

:D Bite your tongue! I've been reading up on the Sox and they did pretty some good Stoving this winter, so it's as likely as any other pairing you'd care to mention. I'll tell you one thing that I KNOW to be true: the Cards will finish in 3rd place with like 84 wins, and there will be no below .500 teams in the Central.

You can book that shit!

Isn't getting rocked almost every year in the BP Cup enough for you?

True dat! Bear in mind, Dan, that I'm completely objective about this Chicago thing. You poor Cub fans are poisoned...you can't think straight. You're beat down!

At some point in the season both Chi clubs will be in first and the media will run like a motherfucker with it, and Chicago fans will be in a lather! I'm looking forward to it. Baseball needs it, and the Cardinals need a shakeup.

FYI: I watched the Bulls 4th quarter the next afternoon with no "Bud" of any kind! (more fun WITH, I learned)

Stick to basketball thoughts, Bull Man

I realize that them going to the NLCS 4 times in a row is impressive, but you're missing the inside stuff. There's plenty of it. It's too early to go into details, but trust me, A......we finish 3rd this year and hopefully DeWitt will fire Mo' and Matheny, the worst 1-2 punch since Trader Jack and Solly Hemus!

Oops...you almost got me started!

You can accuse me of a lot of things, but "missing the inside stuff" isn't one of them.

There's something wrong with the DNA of both LA teams. I can't explain it, but something is missing. (not money)

If they both make it, I will be rooting harder for the Cubs to lose than the Sox to win

That vid was a reminder to me that Carpenter has NO business leading off....or Molina batting 6th or 7th, or Holliday batting any higher than 6th, or Wainwright still pitching in the 9th with an 8 run lead, or Fats Adams vs. LHP'ing....I could go on, but I don't think anybody really gives a shit. I barely do.

ESPN's David Schoenfield has the White Sox as #23 overall at 77-85 and the Cubs as #13 overall with an 84-78 record.

I'd say Cubs under those 84 wins, Sox over 77 wins.

Right...because the last things you want your lead off guy doing are making the other pitcher throw a lot of pitches and getting on base consistently.

Come on, Man....one guy on the roster seeing 6 pitches per AB ain't gonna wear any pitcher out. How can you have a leadoff hitter that gets 56 doubles?!! That guy has to bat 3rd!

You want a guy with a .375 slugging percentage batting third?

That was one season.

But Matt Carpenter is good in the leadoff spot.

And a doubles hitter is fine in the 3 spot. I'd rather an all-around good hitter hit 3 and power come from 4.

I have no problem with the teams best hitter hitting 1st, or 3.

I also had no problem when the teams most consistent hitter (Beltran) hit 2nd the last 2 years.

The Cubs problem won't be lineup construction- unless you mean finding more guys that have OBP skills as the problem. Fowler and Rizzo go a long way toward addressing this problem. Cubs will be good, and soon. Winter is coming.

trolly-click-baiting too obvious.

Celeb chef or Cubs off-season acquisition:

David Chang
Chris Denorfia
Roy Choi
Tommy La Stella

As compared to

Geovany Soto
Tony Campana
Emilio Bonifacio
Gordon Beckham

Additionally, something cannot be clickbait if the headline is "Top 30 Predictions"

the "listicle" is the #1 form of click-bait on these here world wide internets.

he or his editor should've stopped at "Top 29 Predictions":
