1. If you can find better odds, then someone who makes odds and predicts baseball is telling you the Cubs are going to be better.

2. I am not offering anything, I am accepting Good Dolphins offer.

You know that's not true. It actually just means a shitload of Kirkwoods and One Posts- and a few whales like you- are really excited about the Cubs.

"and over the next 3 years, who do you think will have the better record?

I would put my money on the Sox."

Mr. Good Dolphin

And if the number is inflated due to WHALE placing money on the Cubs then a Sox win in this bet should be an easy W?

What's the origin of this "subdivision" reference?

It's also interesting that the Sox 2nd round pick Spencer Adams (44th overall) is only 4 spots behind Kyle Schwarber who was taken 4th overall. I still can't believe Adams fell that far and signed for slot.

on the MLB Pipeline list Schwaber is #72 ahead of Tim Anderson #81while Adams is #6 on the Sox behind Hawkins...different anyalyst eyes see different things....it will be interesting to see how BA ranks them.

I'm sure your faith will go to whichever analyst ranks the Cub higher.

Here is my offer:

1 unit on 3 year win total
AND
1 unit on the win total in each of the years 2015, 2016, and 2017
AND
some nominal amount for each win one team is better than the other in each of those years.

I prefer in order: BA, BP, Pipeline, Law,Sickles,Fangraphs..... BA and BP are done by a committee so it is more than just one guys take... Pipeline has two of the best on the beat. the others are mostly just one guys view and that can vary. What I like to do is take all the list put them on a spreadsheet and merge them and see the consensus.

I have been thinking you may have picked the wrong screen name ... maybe more like Joe Btfsplk with that perpetual dark cloud over his head seems to be a better fit.

I'm very surprised Klaw has Underwood in his top 10. When I saw him he looked like a bullpen arm. It's about as free and easy as 92-95 gets but his slider was just ok his change sucked and he had no command. Maybe I just got a bad look but it didn't look like starter stuff to me. Tseng is a dude. Not overpowering but he has 4 pitches and he can hit a gnat in the ass with all of them and he's only 19 or 20. Pencil him in for the middle of the rotation. I'm not surprised Johnson was left off. Meh

It seems like Jeff Samardzija wasn't too thrilled with the losing on purpose philosophy. I bet he will have more to say about that in the future.

I would bet against it to any great extent. I think he is smart enough to understand that coming out in public against his old team might burn a bridge he might otherwise wish to utilize in the near future. Plus, it wouldn't look good to any other potential employers.

No, I think he will just say positive things about being with a team he grew up rooting for, do his best on the field and then allow his agent to determine where he wants to wind up after the season. Assuming he is not dealt by the Sox at the deadline.
