the only gut with an ego bigger than north. this prick thinks he is the best running back ever and north strokes his ego. sayers says that if he just returned punts and kickoffs he would have had 5-6 return td/yr. look up bitter in the dictionary and you will find a picture of this dick

I've heard he's a pretty surly guy. Not very approachable. I remember quite a few years ago when North and I believe Buffone had their show later in the day and they broadcast once from my local Hooter's and Sayers had his weekly show with them. I wish I had the nerve to go up to him during a break to see for myself what kind of person he is. And leave it to North to stroke him.

I have met the guy several times and I can say without a doubt, he is the biggest asswipe I have ever met. Bitter is the best way to describe him.

I think it sounds like Gale is resigned to his fate, Nas.

Never saw him play, but even his highlights, he was awesome.

I still never figured out how the Bears were so bad all those years with Butkus and Sayers? They made the playoffs once?

And how did Halas get 3 first round picks in 1965?

He probably had Jerry Reinsdorf help him.

Bitter? I doubt that. He has a computer IT company that has made him more money than he ever would've as a football player. His place in NFL history is already set in stone. So he doesn't have anything to be bitter about. Some people are just asswipes!

The Bears drafted Butkus # 3 with a pick acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And Steve DeLong with the # 6 pick acquired from the Washington Redskins.

I would like Sayers and Milt Pappas to have a show together.

Reinsdorf would never have 3 first round picks, because then he would have to pay all 3 unproven rookies.

He learns from his mistakes. AKA Jeff "Sleepy" Sanders

Try no playoff appearances during the great Sayers/Butkus era...

Yeah they lost to the Vikings in the last game of the year and blew their playoff chance. They finished 9-5 and some bum-assed team called the Packers won the division with a bum-assed QB named Starr or something other!
