I would strongly assert that Chicagoans don't want to hear national shows. But then Mike and Mike's relative success blows that theory out of the water.

Mike and Mike's success came from running against North's trainwreck. I don't think they've done that well against M&H.

in my theater of the mind world, M&M should garner about a 0.1 rating. The GAME was more entertaining.

Alright, we'll just move on then....not sure why I even bother with the extremely fruitless endeavor that is engaging Curious Hair to expound on a post

If that's true it shows how dumb Rozner is. His other job is in a dying medium. The romantic idea of the hard drinking reporter living on his wits and his Rolodex is just that. That shit died with Mike Royko. I think even Mully has come to realize who is really buttering his bread.

Oh boy, I am positively trembling in excitement to see the next hackneyed host the dimwitted Mitch Rosen puts into the lineup. Great call on Mannelly, dipshit.

Jim Rome sucks. His show was only good when the Sklar Bros hosted it.

Mannelly was actually a great move for the station, saved them during the Bears season.

Now they resign Mac and move on.

It is never a "good move" to hire someone and have them bail after just a few months.

Kaplan and Haugh have been brought up several times as replacements. I can deal with Kaplan, but not with Haugh's retardinitis. A fucking house plant would be a more compelling hire (it would write better columns, too).

Anyone who has ever taken a Journalism 101 course should be offended beyond belief (and discouraged) that this shit brain's (Haugh's) idiotry is published in a major market paper's sports section on a regular basis, and that he gets money for it. He should focus on not sucking at his day job before worrying about a radio gig. Give the job to the aforementioned house plant or Murph.

awesome. best way to piss off Carolla: misspell his name. If I was his publisher, I'd send him a proof copy of his next Mike Lynch written book with Carolla spelled 6 different ways. Maybe even throw in a few iterations of Adem or Adam or Edum. Just for the chapter it'd inspire in his next book.

I guess Lynch gets no extra comp for writing these books for Carolla. And Rosen was cut free with zero severance and no health care, according to the interview she did on the Crabfeast podcast.

Mac still hasn't signed? Mac's going to make them go through the rigmarole of pretend courting Kap and Haugh before he agrees to get out of bed for less than $300k.

Still am for the most part. But I truly believe he just kinda hates most things at this point. That's how it comes off to me anyway.

Didn't CH say he's going to Rahm's brother himself at 30.

CH-when's your 30th?

I could really use that stereo.

Not a big fan but that was a bad move in the eyes of fans even. Very strange.

Compared to x years ago he sort of does. The show got safer, but I can understand why. Compared to listening to Weeble it's radio magic.

I'm not wrong. Rome sucks. You're just a known Rome fanboy, apparently like the one in town because his show has always been a failure in this market.

He blows, too.

Well, now that Mac's out, it really is another tryout for the Score boys. Good luck. May the best dumb ass win.

Unless this Kap and Haugh stuff is true and they just fire Spiegel. Who knows?

Should Spiegel really be taking days off with his job on the line and up in the air. I really thought he may have a chance without MAC, but they've completely lost the room AKA the audience. Bring back Murph

Maybe he realizes the jig is up. He's gotta use all paid time off he has before they jettison his fat ass.

Just the opposite. If you think you're gonna get fired, might as well use up all of your vacation and/or sick days.

Spiegel is no dummy. Kaplan told Feder that the Score was pursuing him and Haugh. So it's not even a secret that Mitch and Zim don't like Spiegel.

Spiegel knows it. So maybe we'll get more "FUCK YOU, BERNSTEIN!!!!" episodes from him. Cuz he doesn't give a shit any more.
