Fox is reporting that he may be re-united with Tresty in Baltimore.

Interesting. Torrey Smith is a FA and Steve Smith is old blood.

Can't imagine the offer is better than a 6th given his contract and poor year. So if he's traded we can be pretty sure Pace doesn't have final say on football decisions.

Please do this. Take anything in return.

Now, cue up all the "Marshall is so great! How can you get rid of him! We can win 8 games next year with him!"

While it may be good to get rid of him for the cap relief if you believe they are full rebuilding what does a 6th get you? I mean if they think they can go 500 then they keep him right?

My reading of the haters is that Bernsy is claiming to have inside knowledge that he obviously does not have.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to look at Marshall, see a clubhouse cancer and a me guy. and predict that he will be gone.

yet he's the only one smart(?) enough to do it! if Marshall is gone, another win for Bernstein, even if he did a bit mealy mouthed backtracking.

It's already begun!

The revisionist history is great. Just like with Trestman, a lot of people were saying the Bears are too cheap or that they won't fire a coach after two years. Then when it happened everyone already knew it was going to happen.

So, he backed off of his statement and yet it is still a win?

Do the Seahawks get second down over too?

Take that up with biggie, CH and Peoria Matt.

I said in October Trestman would be gone.

he backed a bit. which was his mistake. no sense saying "things may have changed" before there was any proof that things had actually changed.

If it were to be a trade, I'd rather see him sent to the 49ers for one of their LB

Steve Smith and Brandon Marshall in the same WRs room would be awesome. They'll likely alternate sporting shiners every week.

Kind of like Trestman being fired.

It's easy to be correct when you take both possible positions.

Wow. I said the Cutler contract was a bad deal and Emery was a bad hire.

Do I get a cookie too?

Agree.

but this is why you have a no nosense hard ass coach. If the player knows it, they all seem to fall in line or a great leader.

Always look to Dennis Rodman, one of the wildest players of all time in any sport. Came to chicago and his play was never a problem at all, because he knew if Jordan even thought he was slacking or causing a problem he was gone. There would be no arguing, no apologies.

You can see where this is going. Trestman will be calling plays in Super Bowl L next year in SF, and Marshall will be the MVP. I'll take that action.

And now let's look at his three former coaches.

McDaniel - Young guy that got a job before his time. Lacked the respect of veterans

Philbin- Let a sociopath run his locker room. 0-2

Tresty_ 0-3

John Harbaugh didn't have a problem when Smith arrived. The Panthers took half a season or more to fill the void.

Marshall will be a solid citizen there or PERHAPS, New England might take a chance on him.

How good would CJ Mosley look now in Vics Bears 3-4 defense? Oy vey.

Looks like that's out:

BALTIMORE — NFL Insider for CBS Jason La Canfora reported earlier today that the Ravens offered wide receiver Torrey Smith a 5-year $35 million contract with $19 million guaranteed before the season. A $7 million a year deal is viewed as fair deal for the 26-year-old, 4-year receiver. That kind of money would be comparable to contracts for Eric Decker and Marques Colston and more than what Anquan Boldin, DeSean Jackson and Emmanuel Sanders had in 2014.

it says before the season meaning he turned it down... so no news on what they are going to offer him now. He's a UFA and at 26 is worth investing in and would still be in his prime when team becomes competitive in 2016/17

Oh I didn't see that, though the story was dated today. Hard to imagine him getting more elsewhere.

He was my guy from day 1. I still cant believe that Phil passed on him for Fuller. Mosley would be the captain of Vics defense for the next 10 years.
