Jurko, Carm, Silvy and Waddle....4 guys who like each other, busting balls without the easily noted hatred flowing out of each persons mouthes as it does on another station.

Exactly. This is good, enjoyable and fun radio. It makes you WANT to listen... not PTFB.

Somebody pointed out in another thread that Patrick Mannelly is an ESPN guy - not a Score guy.

I couldn't agree more. Kudos to whomever posted that.

Yes - I stand corrected.

Maybe, but he seems very likable and is a good Bears' Nuggets source...

Not according to the ratings. For more or less the past few years.

Score fans are masochists.

I both greatly prefer the Score and actively avoid adding any money to Bristol's coffers.

It really is true. The difference between the stations. Look at JD, Carm, Waddle and Silvy. Compare them to Bernstein, Boers, drinky and Joe O.

Well mannered, good natured gentlemen vs. Angry, bitter, bitchy, whinny, uncivilized, petty scum bags.

Even when you hear the ESPN producers speak, they're not like the Score producers.

A big part of it is ESPN 1000 actually tells their boys not to behave like ass holes. Otherwise they might. Mitch and Zim don't tell that to the Score guys. That's why they run wild.

Great call Bigfan w/ ESPN crosstalk. It is a great listen where they bust on each other and no guy has a giant ego or agenda.

Sports radio isn't life or death and ESPN1000 doesn't act that way. Although, Silvy might get hung up on something, and of course they will tease him about it, which Silvy takes in stride and laughs along.

Contrast that with the Score where it seems no two sets of hosts get along w/ anyone else at the station.

People who say ESPN1000 is boring should give it another extended listen.

I will say that Jurko can kind of be a scum bag. But he got grandfathered in.

I remember even Carmen said on the air that Jurko is allowed to say shit that he can't say. I found that weird. But that comment by Carmen tells you that the bosses over there do keep them on a leash. They can't do it like the Score guys even if they wanted to.

jurko is the only one worth listening to.

why on earth would I listen to someone who is being told what they can/can't say?

Might as well be on CSFMB.

Jurko and Waddle are fun together. Waddle somehow brings out the best in Jurko. He comes alive for the crosstalk. Not sure if it's being frisky because his day is about to be over, or he just enjoys Waddle and Silvy. But it's good radio. I would love for Carmen and Silvy to be reunited for a day, while Waddle and Jurko to do a show together for that day. Not sure if Waddle would be up for driving a show though. But I bet it would be fun.

Ugh. That show is dreadful and he's a big reason why.
