Dom The Bomb will not run in the Holy Bull, and will instead run the Hutcheson. Probably for the best, for now. If he does good, maybe they try him in the Fountain of Youth.

As for the Holy Bull, I'm all over Bluegrass Singer, and I would be shocked if he's still at 4/1 by the time the race begins. I'll post a Pick 5 for races 7-11 today or early tomorrow.

Are you off your meds again, Walt? I'm not sure what part of mentioning where a horse was going to race next before he raced there was stupid. Maybe the should take away your access to computers at the nuthouse.

Rivelli said Dom The Bomb had an injury (grabbed a quarter).

Star of the Weekend might be Khozan. Maybe Fountain of Youth for him next.

He was awesome in that race. Obviously not at his best and still bulled his way to the win.

Futures pool # 2.

In this same pool a year ago, California Chrome was 30-1.

Nice weekend coming up.

Withers Stakes at Aqueduct.

El Kabeir might be even money when this race starts, but I'd be tempted by the Pletcher horse Far From Over.

And then at Santa Anita, you have the Robert Lewis Stakes, featuring Dortmund and Firing Line going at it again. And exacta box of those two and hope the one with the better odds wins by a nose.

well did you play the chalk???? And are you so naive that you think Dortmund will have higher odds?

If you bet $100 on your exacta Spmack you won 15.....maybe JOR would swoon over that bet,but to real gamblers that is a stupid bet!

I rarely box exactas, Walt. I'm a value bettor. Shared Belief should be 1/2 today. If he's above even money it's like stealing.

Hey WWN obviously you can find out the Odds before the race, and once you saw the will pays it would not have been worth it.

Dortmund may be the favorite at the Derby.

See what I would get if I replied like that from RFDC would be the Pulp Fiction gif talk English motherfucer,,,,but WWN understood what you meant and took the high road :D Unlike the two sissy bitches RFDC and Bagels on the Rondo thread....a couple of girls!

Basically, because I'm trying to limit my losing bets. I don't want to chew up profits by making a losing bet on purpose. Over the long haul, it's sound financial strategy, although it can be painful in the moment. For example, on Saturday night I bet a horse named Spender Hanover at 22/1. He finished second to the 6/5 favorite and the exacta returned $113. That churns the guts for a little while, but I know over the long term, not throwing away the extra money on backup bets will shake out.

Also, here's an interesting Derby contender. His name is Ocean Knight. He's the eleven horse. I point that out because the announcer calls the wrong horse all the way down the stretch:
