Other than country acts when will they start booking musicians younger than Wrigley Field?

They like selling $300 tickets to Streisand fans.

Considering they do this to make money....the most evil thing you can do these days....maybe the Assphex twins can show up and do a free show, then ask for donations and all that money can go for the artwork we will hang in the El stations!

Taylor Swift at Wrigley Field in 2016....featuring Kanye, and an appearence by Beck. Beyonce will be a no show.

Is that what you want? or an EDM show?

Actually, Beck at Wrigley would be fucking killer....but so would Metallica, or Prince.

Variety. Everything is country or classic rock. Foo Fighters is a start.

Loves me some AC/DC, but even if it's their last tour, there's no way in hell I'm going to see them at fucking Wrigley. The WORST venue for a concert that's not called "Soldier Field" or "Charter One First Merit Pavilion Amphitheater" :x

Their last tour should have been 20 years ago.

When band members start suffering from dementia, maybe it is time to hang it up. Just sayin.

Targeting upper middle class people with money is not that controversial

I'm going to see Mellencamp next week. I would have been a natural act to book at Wrigley.

Seen him quite a few times. He has some good older tunes. Last time I saw him at Chicago Theater and I
don't think I would ever see another show there. Felt like I had vertigo in the upper deck.

Chris Slade is in on drums, Stevie Young on guitar. Things just aren't the same.

Quite frankly, Brian's never sounded as good as he did on Back in Black. Check out a deep track on that album, "Shake a Leg". The notes he hits after the solo in that song still blow my mind. But Brian sounds terrible live most of the time, the songs are either tuned down or he stays in a certain range.

I tried talking myself out of it.
1) They’re old
2) No Malcolm
3) No Phil Rudd
4) Concerts at a Baseball Stadium are stupid
5) Brian Johnson is awful

In the end, the reality of it being a top 5 band of mine coupled with the fact that I’ve never seen them before won out and I bought tickets. Yes, I suck for never seeing them before, but I figure it’s best to see what’s left of them while I can.

I thought so too, but as a Sox fan even I must say that seeing a show (Pearl Jam) at Wrigley was pretty cool. I would assume the novelty would ware off and I would hate it after another show or two, but doing something like that once in a while I think is a pretty nice evening.
