What is Dan's angle on this? Why is he so passionate about making sure those black kids get what's coming to them? Is it because his kid plays baseball and he's afraid of out-of-district STUDS beating his kid's team?

Bernstein didn't "create" any of this.

nowdays i fully realize that bernstein tells me how to think react and feel about everything and it's really offputting.

i can't help but wonder if he was doing that 10-15yrs ago when i have fond memories of b&b as just about my favorite radio show ever, or if this was truly the monster that was created when he became FOTS and probably felt like he had to do something "important" with his platform.

was i blind to it back in the day, or is this something that's genuinely evolved over the years?

The only thing that will affect the college pipeline is stupid parents like that caller yesterday who said she will pull her Kid out of the program. That's what Jesse and his minions should be focused on. Keeping Kids in the program. Not blaming others and looking for the boogie man.

That one lady? That lady, my friend, is none other than Charla Nash. I still laugh at the 911 operator's "What's the monkey doing now" as he fights back laughter.

Evergreen Park Little League Official Hit with Death Threats

After Jackie Robinson West Little League was stripped of its national championship, Chris Janes' phone blew up with death threats.

Evergreen Park Little League Official Hit with Death Threats

Death threats have been aimed at the Evergreen Park Little League official who reported Jackie Robinson Little League’s rule breaking to Little League International. Evergreen Park police have been stationed outside the man’s house, reports DNAinfo Chicago on Wednesday:

Evergreen Park Athletic Association Vice President Chris Janes, who first called for an investigation into Jackie Robinson West’s boundary changes, says he has received several threatening phone calls, including death threats, since the team was stripped of its U.S. title Wednesday.

“We got about 50 messages,” he told DNAinfo Chicago. “I only listened to a few. Some were gibberish ... saying things like ‘You’re an a------.’ A couple said, ‘You deserve to die.’”

There's also a weird subtext of how black people should only protest structural racism on his terms.

That's the most racist position one can possibly take- telling black people how they should feel.

I believe in his head he would justify it by thinking when you protest it in the WRONG way you hurt the overall cause

I think everyone should keep in mind that this is also the show that would hint or flat out call people racist for wanting Lovie Smith fired up until they also wanted Lovie Smith fired.

True. But he's tone deaf when it comes to race. I think because he identifies as "liberal" (We could produce 50 page threads on whether he actually is and we probably have.), he feels comfortable in his paternalism toward black people.
