We all have those stories. Spiegel is just too old to keep making new ones.

I can never gauge hard liquor and the effect on me. So I stick to beer when I'm in public. Spiegel should do the same. Somebody as big as him should be able to pound 12 beers and still have his wits about him. I can and he has 230 pounds on me.

At some point in a given night someone usually catches me before I start speaking Mandarin.

Spiegs is what 35? I was 35 when my story of stupid drunkenness took place. Not to old at all.

I think he's a bit older than that.

I think he's like 42 or 43. I remember him telling Bernstein that they are about the same age.

Bernstein is almost 46. Looks about ten years older.

He would not have had the need if you were with him. He would went to the bar,got hammered and then at the hotel gave you the big shriveled purple turtle head. OOOOps it wont go in.

Sounds about right. I am 50. Seems Bernsie was 4 to 6 years younger than I back in the day. Terry is 300 but best part of show.

Like stated earlier before, Spiegel got so hammered in Arizona poolside when they were there for Spring Training he needed a resort employee to golf cart him back to his room.

This fall/winter he received a gift "basket" of all the scotches and what ever other alcohol is owned by the makers of Balvenie as a favor for mentioning them on air so much.

He has commented several times of squatting onto his recliner, having a few scotches and passing out drunk.


Everyone has a few. But he's drinking like he's back in college or his 20's. Recounts on air two times within a calendar year he's gotten so hammered he can't walk? How many other times has he kept to himself? Pull yourself to together Grimace! Mod-er-ation

There are funny "I drank too much" stories and then there is drinking alone at a bar and falling into a wall and having to visit a hospital because of it stories.

I'll let you all guess which one Spiegel's falls into.

I'm pretty sure that his actions and lack of respect for his family ended up ruining the vacation.

I'm not so sure. When you marry a rock star you can't be upset when they live the rock star life.

Exactly, as a sophomore in H.S. I got way too drunk visiting my brother at Marquette and tripped and put a hole in the wall with my head. I was fine. That's funny. No harm done.


I also fell another time when I was much older for a much stupider reason and had to call in to work the next day.

Honestly, Im not the strictest on "Dont Ever drink in front of or around your kids" but when the kid is still a baby and your with him and your wife on vacation....dont get THAT drunk.

Neither am I, but you need to be aware of your surroundings and take other people into account. Especially considering that this was a vacation. It's also a story that you keep to yourself until you find out if your wife finds it funny or she wants a divorce.

Time to have Mac call the intervention.

Also, its not that great of a story to begin with. No funny details or anything. Just I drank I fell I ruined vacation HAHAHAHAH

I'm confused by urgent care part. Did he explain what his injury was?

Like he woke up and realized he needed his stomach to be pumped like a sorority girl during syllabus week? Was his kneecap spun 90 degrees or something?

What injury necessitated urgent care after you slept for 6 hours?

Guessing he had a huge gash somewhere that dried up as he slumbered

He said he hurt his shoulder when he stumbled into a wall and then fell to the ground. When he woke up the next morning, it was so sore he went to the urgent care center.

Well his wife probably went to bed unfulfilled if he was that drunk.

I was wondering how someone was gonna navigate that joke.

They just replayed his story coming out of a break and he says "Hey, none of us are perfect."

This guy is clueless.
