It won't be Larry. He has his 120 show until 9am, so if he were to come on, they'd have to have him start at 10am (like they did last week w/the one hour Wayne and Pat show).

I don't think drinky is good. I know a few of you do.

But, my thoughts on him aside, I don't think Mitch or Zim would do it. They had that public cat fight over the "Part Timer" thing. That was embarrassing for both of them. More so drinky cuz he dragged that fight on for months.

Also, we see how sensitive Spiegel can be with Bernstein's harsh words in transition. Drinky's that way too. Drinky's gonna call people fat and ugly. He's gonna scream at callers and call them stupid. Spiegel is gonna run out of the studio crying every time he does it. It just won't work. They just wouldn't play nice and get along with each other.

I don't really care who it's going to be. They already have (or should have) an idea of who they would like to fill that role, and I don't think they are any secret candidates. It's probably one of these two. Rozner is the safe choice; I don't think Abattacola deserves this opportunity, but these seem to be the options.

I like Rozner. Today's conversation about games you would love to pop in the VCR was very entertaining. Rozner actually brought out some interesting Speigs today. He knows what the fuck he's talking about. He watches games. He doesn't just say "yeah that sounds right" or start mumbling about bon scott or some goofy shit about optics. His whydayahate whomever is grating but he'll wear it out soon enough. I think he's good.

Rozner had his flaws. He can be a bitch.

But he also has something that the producers/part times hosts don't have. He goes to games, has relationships with athletes and has connections to get information.

Not blaming the producers. Barry writes for a paper that gets him credentialed. The Score producers can't do that. But they're at a disadvantage because of it.

I think it will be Rozner.

If Mitch and Zim did get somebody that doesn't currently work there that would shock me.

Rozner gets this slot for a year. Builds a following (how big or small is up for debate). Terry retires. Next year at this time we have the "Roz and Berns" show from 10-2 (Danny will want to move to mid-days so he his home after school instead of being home before school and as long as the pay is the same he won't care and Roz will still be able to play golf after work). After that it will be Mac FM, Speigs & Jurko from 2-6. Mac FM will have time to play golf before the show because he will be adjusted to waking up at 4:00am for his job at The Drive. Mac FM will then talk about the joys of hitting a driver off the deck with the morning dew still on the golf course at 6:30am before introducing "Riders on the Storm". I can't wait.

Bernsy isn't going anywhere. They aren't going to move him out of PM drive time. Contrary to the opinion of quite a few on this board that nobody listens, and that Mitch is an idiot for letting Bernsy do his thing, apparently people ARE listening!

Hoping Rozner gets open midday spot. Decent personality and can talk intelligently about any of the sports.

I haven't listened. How many McGowans have we gotten out of Rozner this week?
