Have we gotten any trenchant insight into the socio-racial dimensions of White Sox attendance yet?

Wait, Spiegel got busted back down to sidekick? That's pretty big news. Beardown is going to make a thread about it.

They'll address this on the show. They'll say they're both more comfortable this way. Goff will mean it, Spiegel wont.

Goff's driving it?

I didn't think it would be that way. I figured Spiegel would drive and Goff would just crack wise.

First few weeks would be cracking wise on sports and sports people. Then Goff gets comfortable and starts cracking wise on Spiegel. Spiegel takes it for a while but hits a boiling point where he has an epic "Temper Tantrum" on the air. Goff then spikes the football.

Spiegs mentioned the driving early on. That Goff left not knowing how but he returned having learned.

Goff probably demanded it. That's a seriously shitty thing for CBS to do to a guy. Busted down in rank to make room for a dude recently fired.

I'll bet the opposite. Spiegel probably doesn't want to do it. Let the rookie do the heavier lifting.

Not that it's really that big of a chore. Give the number and send it to break.

I gotta say, hearing Goff on the Score again just feels comfortable. And hearing him talk about how Rose has to be there for Thibs sounds especially good after the last couple months.

Basing it only on transition, this is The Jason Goff show. Is Spiegel still there?

Damn Spiegel is embarrassing looking. The Score and his family need to talk to him. Besides being fat, he isn't groomed properly, and looks smelly.

I've always thought (and I'd bet Spiegel feels this way also) that the non-driver is the more prestigious position on a team. He has no real responsibility other than to pontificate as he feels the need. The other guy has to work.

The non-driver is essentially the color man there to give expert analysis - the star of the show.

Just a hunch.

The order of the names is insignificant. But based of their first tranny with B&B last week, you could tell Goff is gonna dominate this show. He's gonna shout through, around and over Spiegel.

So Mac was never the most prestigious position on any show he was a part of?

Not saying it's a fact. Just saying it's a point-of-view that I could see someone, like Spiegel, having.

Not necessarily. Bernstein drives his show and every thought, pontification and analysis is his also. Terry just nods.

Terry has it easier. I'll grant you that. But that's not what you said. You said the non driver was the star of the show.

I think it was Spiegel's call. But not cuz he thinks it makes him the star. It's just a little bit harder to drive, so Spiegel figured if he could get out of it, why not?

The driving part is just in and out of breaks, bringing up callers and resetting the topics. Goff is gonna do that and when he's not doing that he'll be shouting down Spiegel.
